What about the 3rd and 7 run up the middle by Josh W with 2:20 left in the game?

I was like WTF, then OMG he's free.

it looked fully like LSU was going for it on 4th. Basically trying to get into a 4th and short situation at worst if he can pick up 5ish. But he went for a lot more, lol.

Probably one of the most overlooked plays of the game. That set us up for the go-ahead score

Granted it paid off, but I’m very skeptical about our 3rd down play calling— I think it’s one of our bigger weaknesses. Too many times I’ve seen 3&long and we call a pass behind the line of scrimmage.

I was watching the replay and was more nervous than watching it at the game. When it was happening it just felt like we were going to score and I wasn't really nervous at all.

Watching the TD to Taylor right after...the pan aways with the drone showing the stadium from wide range was a badass touch.

IIRC those were early in the game. I think we were just being conservative.

Reminded me so much of the Hester run in 07 UF when he absolutely steamrolled Major Wright.

Bama was not expecting that play. Hell of a run.

I HATED that call. Then I loved it.

Gutsy call and even more gritty run.

I'm a huge Josh Williams fan! A big dose of him and Emery the rest of the way is going to break a lot of defenses' spirit and hurt some pride.

I can’t imagine the melt for that play call if that gets stuffed for a 1 yard gain

Great call. OC knew Bama lives to blitz in that situation and came up with the perfect call.

Simply Bama wasn't expecting it. Both DL on the right side of their line had poor run fits for that play and Williams beat the LB (#42) that looked like he was on a loop stunt. Sometimes you just have to make a play and Williams did. I'm not gonna take the stance of being skeptical of the play call from LSU standpoint, but rather leaning on a known tendency for the defense (I have no way of knowing this, this is just how I prefer to frame it).

We have some amazing players on this team that I love but. Josh Williams is my #1

Dude came in as a walk on, worked his fricking arse off. Earned a scholarship. Has the hardest hitting, fighting running style on the team. Dude plays with HEART.

My comment to my friend was holy crap, we had the balls to run on 3rd and 7 vs bama up the gut. That was the beating we were giving them on the lines.

Had to be something they saw in the booth about Bama D-line movement because that was a bold play call. I was furious for a half second when I saw the handoff before he broke free.

This was like the 2019 Bama game. When the office needed a score they delivered.
