I think he was more referring to teams like OU and OKSt who both got hot during the B12 tournament and he was worried they might take UGAs Top 8 spot as a result. These were the effective Top 2 Big 12 teams adding a lot to their resumes with the B12 tournament and I bet he was thinking the committee might have thrown them a bone as a result since UGA got embarrassed and 1 and out instead.

According to the article on their official site he was very clearly referring to them getting a national seed which means it has nothing to do with LSU. OP is clueless.
