Barrett’s is the best.

Jim, I agree. Don’t miss out on going to Barrett’s Barleycorn. It’s not walking distance to Schwab Stadium, but it’s something that an LSU fan should not miss.

Rocco’s is definitely overrated and passé. Tiger Nation needs to start looking for a new sports bar with better food and atmosphere.

Blatt's for location and Barrett's for total LSU experience. Last year Barrett's had some of these best boiled crawfish I had all year..

Rocco's jello shots are awful
And there is way too much hype. They should change their recipe. It was a brilliant marketing strategy though pitting teams fans against other. Of course it's not a fair fight when LSU is there. I guarantee you real drinkers don't swallow these yellow shots. Would totally ruin a buzz. Not sure how they make them taste that bad.. People buy them to win the contest not for the booze.

Rocco's is the most over-rated thing in Omaha. For some reason, folks back home who have never been have a glamorous image of it.

Barrett's on the other hand lives up to all expectations.

feel like anyone who makes the trip to Omaha to watch the tigers should be given these people their business. These guys have gone out of their way to accommodate LSU fans for years.

I remember a time when Barrett's ran out of Miller Lite and sent a couple of employees out to buy more. LSU fans used to drink all the Miller Lite and Crown. Tastes may have changed some but in the 1990's through at least 2009 those two beverages were at the top. The food at Barrett's is better than the average bar fare too. It was still great last year and the boiled crawfish somebody brought from LA were great. I think they charged $20 for 3-4 lbs. Reasonable.

I’ve been 5 times and this was the first time without us being there. The atmosphere was definitely different. Also, the merchandise area sucked arse compared to every other year. Someone usually had LSU hats or shirts but there wasn’t one to be found. Come to find out, a lawyer we hung around at the tailgate said the NCAA took over all of the merchandise area and it could only be licensed NCAA apparel and then jacked up the prices. While walking down 10th street we noticed a group of tents and an LSU one included. We went in and that guy was one of the tents that used to setup across from the field. He said they’d been selling merchandise for 20 years(including at the old stadium) and they got kicked out from their old spot because some of his stuff wasn’t licensed. Most of it looked better than the licensed shite!

Their Reuben is fricking fantastic. Or beer. Or combo.

I dont know, Barrett’s is just great.

HomeGrown is fantastic breakfast/brunch.
Omaha Tap House is awesome after a game.

I didn’t go to any of the big name steakhouses or high dollar places (young kids both in 23 and 25), but if you’re wearing the P&G, the kind folks in Omaha will take care of you.

I’m sure they were because the stadium gouged us last year for standing room tickets. We bought seat tickets for another game for less than the standing room tickets, just because it was LSU.

I got a ticket on the street last year behind home plate for $100. I was given a ticket to Game 2 by a Schwab employee. I gave the dude my LSU issued baseball cap that LSU gave to my nephew (the most short term baseball crew member ever. One of the assistant coaches was an ahole. Nephew got fired for wearing his baseball cap backwards while washing team uniforms. I am pretty sure my nephew told him to GFY or something like that.)

The Blat was full of frat guys wearing their best LSU Columbia fishing shirts last year. Happy Bar was a blast tho.

nothing to do with LSU money
—Oh I bet it has SOMETHING to do with Tiger fan love. Who pay for those 20,000 shots at Rocco’s ?

It wasn’t the stadium, it was the ticket holders who took advantage of supply and demand

I throw an LSU Tailgate every year and live here in Omaha. I dont ask a dime from any fans, just enjoy having LSU fans here. I made great friends from this and we go visit down in BR now. I tell them to avoid Rocco's its a rip off. They were kicking everyone out of the bar when LSU won in 2023 and Trey Morgan tried to walk in after winning in his LSU gear still and they refused to let him in.

We tailgated in D lot rows 9 and 10. We were kinda by the coonasses selling boiled shrimp and crawfish out the back of a truck which you aren’t supposed to do. They must know someone high up.

Yea and tickets were 1/3 or more of last years prices. My friend lowered their tickets behind home plate down to nearly $100 for the Sunday championship game.
