This is what I expect to see coming out of the Spring Game. Meaning that on 1st down there is a 50/50 chance of pass vs run. I know many of you are not expecting much but this change is what I hope sticks with this program under CEO.

I assume the D is going to be as good if not better than what we have seen under Aranda. A passing game that puts pressure on any D that we face could bring unexpected pleasure even for the most avid Ed Orgeron
hater.

This is pre pre college football season so it is the day for nothing but the hope of what could be.

Thanks for your thoughts, Derek.

I can’t wait for the day when you’re looking for a shite radio job in Monroe.

I'm just a fan that expects Steve Ensminger to do what is needed to make this a winning football team. He has some gifted WR's, so get the QB's ready to make it happen.

This all sounds great. But it all depends on having an effective qb. Something Orgeron has no history of producing and LSU hasn’t had in years.

Do some of you not know that we can still be a run oriented team and also modernize the offense?

I don’t want LSU to get away from running the ball against teams. I just want them to do it in a way that a lot of teams are doing it today. Ohio State, Auburn, Oregon, Bama are all teams that are modern offense run first teams.

What I am expecting

I expect to see being displayed at the Spring Game sets of 3 to 5 WR's on 1st down and if I don't I will not have my expectations meet.

I am not on the CEO train or off of the CEO train. I am on the me train and what I have been told is what I expect to see.

Reading between the lines I think we will see MB be the QB and run a quick paced quick throw passing attack.

What choice do they have? They didn't recruit any running backs and we have none on the team.

Considering we don’t have a true #1 RB on the roster for the first time this century IF we feature a passing attack is it more of necessity or design?

Cornerback depth is a glaring issue. If the offense does manage to put up some numbers, I expect us to get burned on passes a lot either way.

Since the season ended and we hired Ensminger, I have expected a season not unlike the one we had in '13, so long as Brennan steps up big time.

If they're smart this spring game they will do 1 vs. 2's to give at least 1 side a chance to put points on the board.

Depends if the QB is good. I expect the offense to be better, but few throws over the middle until Brennan proves himself.

To become a good passing team we need to see;

One, better QBing.
Two, better WR play
Three, better pass pro

To accomplish two of the three, new coaches were hired. Sullivan, was hired to improve our WR play, and Gregg to improve our OL play. No new coaches were hired to coach QBs, but SE was moved to that job and to be the new OC.

The offensive staff had major changes. Everything depends on how these three guys do. If they do well, we should see a better passing game. If they don't it will be a long season.

I caution you on buying anything coming out of the spring game. Far too many times we expected to see one thing and ended up as the same ole song and dance.

I think E knows how talented our Wr group is and will try to throw the rock a lot if he can get a qb ready. I am excited but I also know that this defense is gonna be elite. Like championship caliber imo. The best friend of a great D is a good running attack and not turning the ball over. Let the D win games when you have the studs we have this year
