Have you looked at who is available tomorrow? I don’t believe there is a single pitcher we have been using in competitive situations. I think the game will be in the hands of:
Moffitt, Threadgill, Ripoll, and Costello. I mean no disrespect to these guys, because there is some talent there, but for different reasons they just don’t have it going right now.

I expect to give up double digit runs, and if it’s only 10 or 11 I’ll consider us very fortunate. We might give up 25.

Why concede at this point? A few reasons I disagree:

1) I don't see any way the MSU beats Vandy. That's just not happening.
2) MSU's pitching will most likely be as destroyed as ours by the time they finish tonight. If our bats can wake up, I like our chances.
3) They will get less rest than us.
4) They will be coming off of a loss, possibly a blow-out. We will be coming off of a win.
5) Our RPI boost would be much better beating MSU and then facing Vandy regardless of the result than getting blown out by Vandy tomorrow, and the chance of our beating MSU is much better than MSU beating Vandy.
6) At this point every win gives this team much needed swagger which we need right now as much as hosting.
7) We're a lock to host if we beat MSU.
8) If we win, we may have a few more arms come available on short rest to take on Vandy, not that I like our chances.

ETA: also the most important one...

9) I want to beat those annoying cow-bell clanging inbreds more than anyone left in the tournament, especially after last night. I'd like to make that idiot wannabee complaining about being walked cry.
