Didn't look like that on TV. It looked like weird Texas architecture
I thought it looked nice and modern on TV. I kinda like how the jumbotron wasn't over the court.

PMAC looks good on TV but it definitely needs to be updated.
I strongly disagree. It seems every other arena on TV looks clear and bright, like NBA arenas, and the PMAC just looks... dim.

Eliminate like 10,000 seats? It looked tiny.

PMAC is awesome! It reminds me a lot of Madison Square garden. Very similar with the nice dark feel. If it will help them win, I guess I'm in!

Agreed. The PMAC is terrible.

Wonder where we would play for a year during renovations

Houston's only holds 7,000 now. It has all of the new bells and whistles but it is too small. Ours used to hold twice that many before we started scaling it down for things such as the press table.

Given LSU’s attendance woes the past decade or so, there’s a solid argument that we don’t need anywhere near 14k seats.
Maybe a smaller (9 or 10k-ish) arena with modern amenities would be a better option. A packed house looks better than an empty PMAC, and will give the impression of more support for the team than a bunch of empty seats.

Is that the old Hofheinz Pavilion?

Gymnastics packs the PMAC with an average of 10,500 in attendance. That's been way more than either BB program could muster in the past 3 years although I suspect men's BB will be higher this season.

PMAC is a dump.
Build new T&F facility off River Road
Build New PMAC at current T&F facility and attach it to current BB practice facility
Create greenspace for tailgating in the footprint of the old PMAC

They need to generate enough interest in hoops with a good product on the floor.

I think that's the direction LSU wants to go but funding is an issue. Skip said during a radio interview that TAF is not in a position to fund such a large project right now.
They could go the bond route but that's a pain in the arse process that want to avoid.

Actually LSU needs to start playing some wining basketball before asking for more money !

I want 14,000 seats. When I was in school in the early 80s we used to pack the building every game. That is what I want to see again. Let's not lower our standards. Tiger fans are Tiger fans. We just need something to get excited about.

It's nice. I just wish LSU had played better in it.

PMAC was a state of the art arena when it opened back in 1972. I loved seeing games there.
It hasn't aged well unfortunately.
