TAF is not in a position to fund such a large project right now maybe because the football ticket supply and demand situation is changing very rapidly.

Tillman Fertitta might have a tad more cash available to donate than our tiger faithful

The UH arena renovations cost $60M including Fertitta’s $20M gift. LSU doesn't have that kind of dough or donors.

the arena isn't the problem. Put a winning and exciting product on the floor and fans will pack a rathole gym.

First response by someone that has correctly analyzed the situation. The PMAC can rock. I've seen it when I was a student in '81. Heck, I've seen it recently for gymnastics. The problem is the team's lack of sustained winning.

The PMAC is a nice venue for watching basketball - you are in your seat watching the game. Why do you need the other niceties?

When I was in school in the early 80s we used to pack the building every game. That is what I want to see again. Let's not lower our standards. Tiger fans are Tiger fans. We just need something to get excited about.
never coming back. Too many options to watch.

Need to copy Houston or similar

I’ve posted this numerous times now...

The tentative plan is buy the waste treatment facility on River Rd by the new Water Campus & build a new PMAC there. It would be built between a deal with LSU & the city of BR, similar to how the Shaw Center was built. This is straight from Joe Alleva from back in August, eavesdropped on a conversation during a lunch meeting between him & dude from BRAF.
