I'm sorry, but a competent offensive minded HC would have done us much better in the long run.

lmao because having a head coach that has a shite ton of other responsibilities be in complete control of the offense is better than hiring a great young OC and giving him the reigns?

Or maybe having a HC with an offensive identity can fill that side of the ball with an OC and assistants all well versed in a particular scheme, so even if the OC moves on an assistant can step in and maintain continuity.

It's better than it was with Lee the INT King, Jefferson, Rivers, Jennings, Harris and that bunch of all stars.

It's getting better, I didn't say it's at its best. This stuff doesn't happen over night. We likely will see very similar play at the start of next season but if LSU can land (1) or (2) of the QBs they are after now, the competition will be much improved than it has in the recent past. By the end of next season the position should be in a good spot, and hopefully LSU can find ways to win in the meantime. We are doing it now. Canada didn't have a whole year to work with our QBs and Danny is Danny, he won't progress as a passer.

It's not just our QB position either, it's the WRs including TEs we have as well. They have improved in the run blocking but they have lots of work to do in the passing department. Myles will put in the work and lead better than what we've had in a while IMO. He's just young and needs to see more action, but our coaches need to win games at the same time.

Hopefully we can get him some time in the A&M game and then the bowl game but their was no reason what so ever to let him start in the Tenn game with the weather like it was. Any QB would have had issues in that weather.

At least we have guys who can pass in the pocket when they have time, and the WRs get open. We might not hit on them everytime but it's usually in the right place. Myles and Narcisse just need game action to get timing down, and see the speed of the game. I believe Myles will learn quickly once it's his offense. I can see that Myles at least runs the offense at a much differnt pace and efficiency, he simply needs some quality time with his players and against the defense's.

I'm hopeful this QB problem will be fixed under O and Canada bc I believe they are putting a huge priority on it. Only time will tell.

O’s proven he can be a HC. He’s 14-5 as HC and has a chance to get to 10 wins in his first full season. And if he gets to 10
Wins with all the changes in HC n sec he will probably shine on the recruiting trail

As long as he is winning 10+ a year and challenging for an SEC Championship the fan base is content.

many of them don't seem to content. No one can predict the future, but so far it looks like a pretty good hire.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe Alleva saw a diamond in the rough that no one else could see. Y’all must put a lot of faith in Alleva.

The future can be bright. But at the same time there is no margin for error in recruiting this year and next. They must make up some ground for misses the last few years.

Funny, I would say that if the future is so bright, we would all come to that realization without having to be told to do so.

I'm as happy as anyone when LSU wins. I would love nothing more than O to get awards because of the team winning so much.
I just still have some reservations about his longterm potential. And never in a million years did I think he would lose to Troy this season, or get dogstomped by Miss State. I don't feel confident that he can maintain and build a great program, but he took over one that was in pretty damn good shape. The one thing I did expect was that his teams would fight, and those two losses totally mystify me.
