Everyone hating on 225Tyga for being a Debbie downer, but take a step back, take the “tard” comment out of it and he’s not wrong.
1. We clearly have a more talented pitching staff than last year. BUT, talking about them as the best in the country and now we going to the ship after 2.5 weekends is a bit ridiculous.
2. We basically no-hit them through 5 and our bullpen gave up 4 runs. That’s nothing to be proud of. If we are blanking teams or holding them to 1-2 runs/game and looking dominant as a staff doing it, then okay we can talk like that.
3. It’s an overreaction on the OP’s part by my estimation, but welcome to

Buddy, this is the most talented staff LSU has ever had. It is probably easily the best staff in the country. I say “probably” because I’m not knowledgeable about the rest, but in most years this would be the best staff in the country.

You realize Jay isn’t always sending his best arms out of the pen in these situations.
Herring is super talented but has been struggling as of late. JJ is sending him out to challenge him and get him going early, because we’re going to need his arm later in the year.

This is a primary reason why over-reacting in any way at this time of year is dumb. Jay is tinkering and has purpose for every move. We aren’t going to win some games because he does that and it doesn’t mean the sky is falling or if we win, that we are world beaters with the best of everything in the country either

We are better across the board, from the mound, at this point, than last year..and just got hot at the right time to win a Natty. Pitching has improved, though it’s early, but optics are good. Batting was supposed to be down, but plate discipline looks good and we are producing runs and base runners. We would have lost that game last year, and did, lol. Excited for what I’m seeing so far
