We were fricked the minute that Alleva and then King was hired. Both are living examples of the Peter Principle. I know for a fact that after dealing with him Jimbo realized he was an clown and decided to back out. It wasn’t money, etc. it is what everyone knows.

LSU administration is a train wreck

Lmao

All I have to do is ask myself these 3 questions;

1. How did LSU miss two easy field goals?

2. Who's LSUs QB compared to those teams you mentioned?

3. If we had won the game today would you have come up with this losers epiphany?

My god our fans are pathetic!!!

I agree with everything you said, but you stopped too soon. You said "all the way to the top" but you only went up to the university president. All the way to the top means higher than that. It's the jackasses on the board of supervisors, the corrupt politicians who hand out positions on it as political favors for their cronies, and, ultimately, the people who keep electing these frickwads. All the way to the top ultimately leads all the way to the bottom, the very grass roots. It's simple GIGO. Garbage people elect garbage political leaders who appoint and confirm garbage board members to oversee the university who hire garbage administrators who hire garbage people to do the individual jobs like teaching classes or coaching sports teams. And, no surprise, we wind up with garbage results in the classroom, on the playing field and everywhere else.

This is, as you said, a culture problem. A problem with the very culture of the state of Louisiana. And it will never, ever change. It's why just about everybody with a brain and a chance leaves that shithole.

Think back to the turn of the century. We had Jenkins, Emmert, Bertman and Saban. All of these people were visionary leaders who could communicate, inspire others, and execute a plan to transform LSU - resistance be damned.

Lots of rantards HATED Saban after 2002 - and many of these folks I would consider Sabanistas today. LSU "culture" is fickle AS frick.

Now, when we're on, we're on - 1997 was a relatively high water mark, so were 2001 and 2003, even 2007 (but we were starting to get really spoiled, too, around then which is a dangerous combination with fickle) - but take, for example, 2005 - for all the good Miles did coming in hot, rantards (mostly Sabanistas who were furious after 2002, before they converted) were ready to lynch Miles for losing to Tennessee.

I mean, folks wanted Miles gone after 1/9/2012.

This is true. Just read this board. There were poster rooting against LSU most of the season.

How can y'all say this when you see GA barely beat this ND team we would have beaten by 3 if we had a kicker and Bama beat this Clemson team who we played with in Tuscaloser, with so many young players and holes on our roster. You can't make this shite up. LSU isn't far off and when you change your coach you can't expect that coach to be immediately successful unless you get lucky with a QB like Cam Newton. Bama lost their game with Auburn bc of LSU whipping their arse physically, we simply don't have the play makers. It's not our coaches morons. My god you people are a joke.

Looks like you have the same problem UGA had under Richt. Thankfully ours power boosters finally said enough and brought Kirby home. I don’t see why it can’t happen to LSU.

LSU doesn't have any home-grown head coaching talent other than Coach Orgeron, so, there aren't many to "bring home".

I was at LSU in pre Saban years and it was terrible. I didn’t even use my student tickets half the time, nobody did.

I remember this bitch that used to drive her Mercedes to school and park in handicapped spots all the time with her bullshite tag. I remember her popping into one of last spots and taking Off to class as one of the professors who had a broken leg lumbered in having to park far away. (She was as handicapped as Olympic athlete.)

I later found out she was married to a legislator and while a full time law student she also had a 55k job with the state downtown that didn’t really exist. (It was early 90s)

That’s Louisiana culture

That's Luziana. That's LSU.

The few that really GAF need to continue screaming it.

LSU BOS needs to be abolished or at minimum, have their approval for Athletic Coaches be totally removed. The LSU President also needs to be taken out of the "Coach Approval" process.

Leave it to the Athletic Director. (Hire a competent one and let him make the decisions)..........

If I were lord emperor, first thing I’d do is stop charging to park on campus and reopen all areas of campus to tailgating. I honestly believe it would fix your traffic problem since we won’t herd everyone over to the Nicholson corridor.

God bless you SPQRTiger! The truth has been told. If this Coach is around 1more year this team will be with the bottom of the pact. Something big needs to happen to get this crowd back into it O has to Go!! I've been with LSU sports for a long time but back to back Coaches like this has done me in. When the Tiger nation want to join together and make noice to show these clowns we mean business I'm ready. Make a march to the Athletic building and demand better. Dave Aranda and most of his staff I would keep but these other clowns got to go..Pick a day out of the week to march and show these clowns we mean business.

Son, the problem existed long before O was hired. CEO may or may not end up being a good coach, but he is just a symptom not the disease.

I'm not a current fan of Emmert, but he was the best hire this university has ever made regarding athletic administration.
