Yeah, Alleva would have manufactured a PR shite show when we’re the talk of the college football world. Never underestimate Alleva’s ability to manufacture and/or exacerbate a crisis and then double down on stupidity for good measure.
The media would probably be calling Coach O’s ethics into question over the Divinity/Charles situation if he were still AD. If not that, he’d find something of an equally negative light to cast upon the program and turn good publicity into mass criticism.

Alleva fell into the Orgeron hire.
You can believe his bullshite but O was the last resort and Alleva got lucky that he has become what he is now.

The difference in what our present AD paid Jimbo and what Alleva paid Coach O would probably feed a small African nation for a month.

Perception and timing played a huge part in both hires. Aggies were slipping towards sec west doormat and HAD to make a splash hire and show they could throw money around.

You are a dumbass who can’t look at events in the past in an objective manner, Captain Hindsight. Jimbo was a much better hire based on lots of factors at that time. Alleva was Not some mastermind who could see the future. He stumbled into the Orgeron hire and fortunately for LSU, a coach with a so so track record rose to the occasion and proved everyone wrong. Alleva has been a cancer to every university he has been at. I’m glad he is done harming LSU.
