Woodward needs to do no hiring, he made the worst contract in college football history. He’s a lucky SOB for backing into this LSU job.

I can believe Alleva wanted O. If u pay attention to the article, it seems to me that the real motivation was cost. More proven coaches cost $$$ and O took less than market value. Alleva is now trying to claim victory when he didnt care about football when he made the decision. That is my oponion/interpretation

Funny how Alleva's hires are working out. Will Wade is going to have another very good year as well
For the record I did not like Alleva and I am glad he is gone. But his instincts on hires have been mostly excellent. National Championship game in 3 years and a Sweet 16 berth inside of 2.

Jimbo is not bad because "Jimbo", Jimbo is bad because "atm". What quality character person would ever want to attend that school?...

Alleva is gone should let things pass. Woody really needs to make his footprint. Gut LSU compliance the second after national championship game. Fire Vargas, and the list goes on.

Again, the hire wasn’t his call. Jimbo was hired at the direction of alumni and boosters. Logically, do you really think that a contract like that was given out by Woodward’s authority? He was told who to get and not let him get away over money. Woodward didn’t present the idea to those in charge, those in charge presented what to do to Woodward. He was following orders, nothing more/ nothing less.

Scott Woodward has been considered one of the top AD's in the nation since his time at Washington. I'm not sure what rock you've been living under but one bad contract at the direction of some overly zealous Alumni doesn't change that fact.
