So none? None All-Americans that you can rattle off that did not play for 1-2 years at Kentucky, Duke or Kansas?

The losses to Vandy, Ole Miss and SC are biting us in the butt.

Again you can’t read but go look for yourself. There are plenty of high level recruits who barely even see the court for a lot of teams. If you actually followed basketball or had any interest in it you’d know this.

1-3 very realistic.

Another way to look at it is there are only 5 teams with a worse SEC record than LSU.

LSU on the verge of finishing the regular season with a 5-10 record in their last 15 games.

We are now in a 5 way tie for 5th place in the SEC standings
1-3 very realistic.
So is 3-1. It's one of the problems witht his team. Inconsistency.

Fans just don’t understand why the Kansas’ and Kentucky’s and Dukes are at a certain level and we’re not there yet. It’s great that recruiting has trended up under Wade but those teams have McDonald AA who barely play for a year or two. They have pros up and down the roster. We had 2 5* players in the same class once, we won the SEC and got to a sweet 16. Next year we’ll have 4 on the roster. That’s building a program and it takes time.
I'm not saying LSU fans should be expecting Final Four appearances every year (like at those schools), but to say it takes time build a championship level team is bit disingenuous. You can turn things around drastically in a year or two with great recruiting/coaching. In fact, Wade did just that in his second season at LSU when he led the program to arguably the best regular season in nearly 40 years. Auburn and Kentucky had losing seasons last year. They are now likely #1 seeds. Point being, things (particularly with the transfer rules) can change immediately.
Wade has recruited well at LSU. For better or worse, when you sign highly rated players you can only expect them to be on campus a year or two. So there is little to no time to "develop" them. Wade has done a good job at LSU. No reasonable person can dispute that. But there is also an argument that he is not maximizing his rosters. LSU's flaw for most of Wade's tenure is that they are yearly an incredibly unbalanced team. They are tremendous on one side of the ball and horrible on the other. For the 3 of the first 4 seasons it was offensively where they excelled while the defense was pathetic. This year has been a complete reversal. Why is that the case? There are probably many reasons. But that imbalance gives rise to teams that are always good, but never great. He's shown he can put together elite offenses. He's shown this season he can put together an elite defense. Now, can he put together both in the same season?
As for this year, the 12-0 start completely skewed realistic expectations. Remember, LSU was picked to finish 6th in the SEC (some publications had them 7th). Many of those predictions were made BEFORE Miller was lost for the season. LSU played what looks like it is going to end up being the weakest (by quite a lot) NC schedule Wade played at LSU. Give them credit, they won 12 of 13. But that 12-0 start made people ignore the glaring deficiencies that were there at the time. A horribly inefficient offense that is incapable of not turning the ball over at a significant rate. As a result, this team has regressed back to probably where expectations should have been at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, that has been a difficult thing to accept because they were exceeding expectations at the beginning.
Unless they get some unexpected wins @ Arkansas and/or @ Kentucky, this group will likely reach the NCAAT as somewhere between a 7-10 seed...which is where they were projected to end up at the beginning of the season. Accept that to be the likely case and hope that once the season "resets" for the NCAAT LSU can go on one of those unexpected runs we see year after year.

I agree. The problem is, he most likely won’t sit them. If he didn’t sit Gaines for his bullshite in the last game, he most likely won’t sit anyone else. They need some reckoning but it’s too late in the season for that, it needs to be established from the get go.
