Was in Las Vegas this weekend and got 7-1 odds at Harrahs on LSU repeating as National Champions. I'm calling it right now.

1) The offense is in great hands. Brennan and Slinger will benefit from having all the NFL experience of coach Linehan. Brennan has a great arm, we have a great NFL based scheme and the coaches to coach it.

2) The defense will actually be better than last year. I really believe that Bo will come in and get us back to the LSU defenses we got used to in years past. More aggressive, more plays for losses, less soft zone and better tackling.

3) The kids we have coming back can play. I know we lost alot of talent. But we have kids like Emery, Chase, Stingley and many more. We are still loaded.

I think once we beat Texas at home and Florida on the road, the narrative will quickly become all about this great LSU team we have on a march to repeat as National Champions.

I'm going in with lower expectations than last year. I'm still riding this championship high. I'll enjoy this season regardless.

What we just accomplished was incredibly difficult, which is why 2019 will satisfy me for many years. I did not feel bad for Clemson AT ALL because they’ve won plenty and will have a 50/50 chance at winning it all for the next 4 years.

I mean I love the enthusiasm and agree that this team is immensely talented but also a lot of youth and inexperience. There will be some bumps along the road

Just hope this place doesn’t meltdown if we line up and hand the ball off a few more times.

Lol who am I kidding

I would be shocked. We are 13th in the SEC in returning production on offense and defense. We have the talent to be very good, but we will be limited in experience and learning a new defense. We also don't know the effect of losing Brady either.

With the mix of new starters and new coaches I fully expect the first time things go sideways the rant is going to point fingers in every direction.

Before all the coaching changes I predicted 9-3/10-2 and I still think that's where we finish and then win our bowl game.

2021 we become an experienced team again and are back in the CFP mix.

We WILL run the ball more. 2 reasons:
Joe B is in the NFL
Less of a featured back dynamic

That said, the offense will average close to 40 a game and the D will allow far less points. If the differential holds, we’ll make the CFP and anything can happen from there

May wanna pump the brakes here, Sparky. LSU lost a LOT of talent on the defense. Fulton, Delpit, Chaisson, Fehoko, Lawrence, Queen, Phillips, just off the top of my head.

I believe Bo will get us there eventually, but this year? Uhhhhh, no.

Yeah, a more realistic goal should be a NY6 Bowl with another run at the playoff in 2021.

I'm leaning toward 2021 being our year again. I think we can do some damage next year. But I think we slip at least 1 game we should win because of inexperience.

I like our chances to have a dangerous team and make a run at the CFP but I’m definitely not having that be my expectation. If we can clock 10 wins this year I’ll be more than satisfied, as it will help keep our momentum towards being elite yearly

Man we could seriously go 2-10 next year and I’d still be excited about 2019.

Granted we beat Bama and Aggie by at least 40
