We all see the problems on offense

The question is what do you about it?
From another thread:
Put TEs in and max protect : no receivers in the routes, easy to cover the WRs
Spread the field with extra WRs : shaky OL one on one in space
Line up in the I : 9 in the box, poor PA execution, Mett has to read defenses while he drops back
Mett in the shotgun : mett has to be accurate, shaky WRs have to make catches, dramatically changes the complexion of the running game
So pick your poison

This is the only option. Mett is very slow coming out from under center and then has to read the defense. I agree it changes the running game but I think you use more 2 RB sets with a combo of a FB and RB, RB and RB or RB and Shep. At least it give Mett time and take pressure of the Oline some. Don't run the option any or the spread option but I'm thinking a offense similar to the NE Patriots where Brady is in shotgun most of the game. Mett is no Brady before someone hammers me for that.

Unmatched in the country
What do we even do well right now? You can't just put in a new offense in a game week so they will have to use something they already have and try to execute it
What is that going to be?

I would think at this point we'd at least come up with some sort of wild cat package. shite... It could work at times

Apparently everyone but the stupid offensive coaches see the issues since they have not fixed it yet.
Funny how every fan can predict what they will run time after time after time. Prime example, why in God's name do you put TM in the game at RB and not expect someone to know a something is up? That was soooo stupid.

Good answer
Mett is most comfortable in the shotgun but he is hit or miss passing the ball and he is prone to poor decisions
I like the two RBs split on either side but there is no zone read play with mett so you aren't fooling anybody
At least in the shotgun he can see the field and know where pressure is coming from

just want to brace all of you CLM track record shows he will make no significant changes
He truly believes if you keep doing the same thing over and over you will succeed
He also believes in only making changes after the season is over
Why mess up a bad thing?

What I am asking is what do you want him to change to? With the current personnel
Can they run the JJ offense without the QB run threat? Shotgun formation, single choice throws
Lee was a much better PA QB Than Mett is and he was much more experienced so the offense they ran with lee is basically what they are trying to do now with no success

Also if the headsets were out then did Krags call the plays from the sideline? Today Miles did not have a play sheet in his hands that I remember

time to go back to his ok state roots. only problem is we don't have anything close to a rashaun woods right now. very disappointed by the drops.

Bad play calling, bad execution, no depth on the OL, WRs can't catch, Mett can't see open WRs. There are a lot of issues.
Posted on 10/6/12 at 9:06 pm to S
No way miles goes wide open spread and I wouldn't trust Mett right now to key it
And we don't have anyone that is even remotely like rashaun woods

I don't think it's possible to fix what all we have wrong during the season. The kind of major problems we have on the offensive side of the ball will only be fixed in the off-season, if CLM chooses to fix it then.

Not completely accurate. He still has trouble with seeing pressure, although it is getting a little better.
The answer is shotgun with draws mixed in. Shotgun should be the majority formation for the next 3 games

Agreed
That is my point, this is a seriously flawed offense with flaws at every position.
Everybody screaming fire this guy, fire that guy etc but what do you do to work with what you have? Who cares whose offense it is, who is calling the plays, etc. what do the resident experts want to see them do?
Nobody is really answering that question they just want everybody fired now

My thoughts as well
But that takes Miles's pet copeland out of the game plan and puts everything squarely on mett
