Like Ben already said, lsu is the hardest team to strikeout. Those balls have to find an open spot eventually.

If they were going up first pitch looking, you'd bitch about that too. GTFO.

Clearly UTs pitchers throw allot of first pitch strikes. The game plan was to look fastball over the plate and drive it. And it worked. The starter got hit hard and often.

LSU didn't made the adjustments they should have against the first reliever, but that's being nit picky at best. They scored 8 in 3 innings (or 4 innings) and coasted. Yes I would like them to score 20. But when your Friday night guy is on, 9 will win every time.

When it works...stay with it!!

When it doesn’t...adapt your approach!!

Simple math...

I don't have a problem with it, the players have to make better contact, some balls don't find the gaps, etc. I like the aggressiveness, especially against good pitchers, they try to get the first pitch in and get you behind in the count and then get you to chase junk after that. I'd say something if you're facing a pitcher with control issues, of course I'd want the batters to be patient then.

Your the little league coach that pisses me off lol. High school kids take belt high fastballs first pitch then start swinging at curveballs in the dirt

Anybody who watches baseball knows the 1st pitch is always a fastball right down the middle, why not take a swing, look what Beau did yesterday, go for it

Perhaps you were unaware that the scouting report on Crochet was that he liked to throw fastball strikes first putch to get ahead in the count

Tiger batters capitalixed to the tune of 8 runs IIRC
