re: Way Too Early 2019 LSU Football Predictions

I'll wait to see how the 2019 class finishes and if there are any shake ups in the staff. I think a 10-11 win season should be expected if we keep our commits and add a few elite players with the remaining spots.
I have us as a legit SECC and CFB playoff contender if we bring in a CO-OC (OC to take over in 2020) or make a full OC change with the "right" hire.

I agree with you. Next year the schedule sets up nicely and hopefully everyone that should return does. 11-1 should happen 10-2 at worst.

So assuming you think At BAMA is a loss..you really think we go 10-1 the other 11? Seriously?
I don’t see why not. We were a 4th and 18 away from doing just that this year. Next year is a little easier schedule and we will have a better team.

In LARGE part it depends on the personnel that returns. I think most would agree that other than White and Williams, no other underclassmen should be turning pro. Now, we all know that hasn't stopped guys from leaving too early (see Toby Weathersby who currently has UDFA listed as his current NFL team), but I think O will actively recruit guys to stay.
Assuming every who should stay, does, then LSU will return it's entire front 7 minus one BIG impact player. On the back end Greedy is gone, but it wasn't too long ago LSU fans were asking "who the hell is Greedy Williams and how can he ever replace Tre White?" Point being, LSU reloads at the CB spot.
On offense they should return an entire starting OL (considering Hines started and played in multiple games this year) as well as the entire WR group. They only lose a TE who, while an exceptional leader, was rarely featured in the offense, as well as an adequate but not game breaking RB.
It's possible that even with Ensminger back at OC, LSU offense could be more explosive (wouldn't take much) by sheer virtue of the fact that they have a legitimate home run threat at RB and everyone else is one year more experienced.
I think a REASONABLE expectation is 10-2
@ Texas will be tough (though I think winnable). However, the rest of the schedule sets up great (except for @ Alabama). Florida is finally back here. Auburn could be good, but they haven't won in Tiger Stadium in nearly 20 years. Until it happens I won't pick against LSU. MSU loses their QB and more importantly, their studs along the DL. Vandy is Vandy. Ole Miss is still a mess. Arkansas should be better (can't be much worse), but that game is here. Same for A&M who now falls into the hate/revenge category.
Get past Texas with a win and I think a #1 vs. #2 matchup @ Alabama is imminently doable

11-1 loss to bama

Utah State is 10-2 this year and ranked. That won’t be a cakewalk
Posted on 11/26/18 at 2:31 pm to Green Chili Tiger
Damn. We could start 8-0 with a legit shot at 11-1.

I’ll hold off until we know for sure who the OC is.

Yes!
I guess people are still salty from the bullshite saturday night but if LSU can find a corner opposite Fulton and the lack of Devin White doesn't cause major issues, 2019 is a better year than 2018. Schedule is "easier", Emery provides a playmaker at RB this team needs, and only loss of note on offense is Moreau who is replaceable.

It will absolutely be a cakewalk. You seen their schedule?

About the same record with at least one plane sign flyover and two billboards acquired.

Yes. Jimbo will have had another year by then.
So?
He has done nothing that makes me believe he can build and maintain a program.
