Brady? You mean Ensminger?

Ensminger was still OC in 2020, and still involved as an analyst in 2021.
so we never "lost" him.

I don't think anyone (at the time) could say they felt fully comfortable LSU was going to win

You can ask anyone at the Alum game watch in Dallas, I did. Going into halftime I told everyone in the bar we were in great shape and would win that game.

The intangibles were all in our favor, we really were the (much) better team on the field and once we got out of the shadow of our own endzone (first what? 3 possessions), we were rolling.

Yes it tightened occasionally, but I knew - I mean knew that game was a Tiger victory in the first quarter.

What’s even crazier is that we easily could’ve dropped 60 on Clemmy had Chase not misjudged a pass in the end zone and we don’t kneel inside the 5 to end the game.

UGA ended up with the #1 scoring D, Clemson with the #3 D and UF with the #8 D. LSU averaged 40 ppg against those 3 top 10 defenses and those teams allowed 27 more ppg on average to LSU compared to their season average. That is phenomenal.

Bama and Auburn also finished ranked in the top 20 scoring defenses. Auburn is the only one who held LSU in check even though LSU completely doninated the stats with 500+ yards of offense to Auburn's 280+. LSU just had some mental errors deep in Auburn territory that cost them points in that one (Auburn did play a tough game though).

I'll never forget the commentary from the pregame for the OU game. I was listening to ESPN radio and whomever was previewing the game commented something to the effect of "as I am watching the OU secondary come out onto the field, they just look so small. I don't believe there is one in the rotation that breaks 6 feet...."

When I heard that I placed the only bet I have ever been 100% sure of, LSU to cover. And I bet it big.

Watching the Oklahoma game reminded me when Florida used to beat our arse like that in the 90s lol. It felt good to do that to somebody.

Georgia should have scored early if it weren't for a dropped pass that would have been a for sure touchdown.

Clemson took the lead early.

I admit, I was just a tad nervous at the beginning of Georgia, and a little more for Clemson. But I always felt our Offense would have to show up and pull through.

This seems to be a Georgia tradition anytime they play LSU. I seem to remember them missing sure TDs early in the 2011 SECCG and the 2018 game at LSU as well. Hell, they may have missed one early in 2003.

I'd listen to my ex-wife before taking seriously anything any of these three blowhards had to say. I assume they now know he played in the Superbowl last year?

Joe said the same thing after the season.

Opponent skill level notwithstanding, the final three regular season games (WKU, OM, Ark) and the SECCG (UGA) in 2011, LSU outscored its four opponents 177-39.

A real shame that that team will never get the level of respect it deserves.

That's true. I still had questions about the defense, but the way Joe rubbed it in Bama's face all night told me that nobody was stopping the offense.

I was thinking the other day, what would have been if O had been wise/fortunate enough to have kept Ensminger and Aranda for a couple more years

I think Kelly Orgeron, E and Aranda were the voice of reason. Once these people were not involved in the day to day, O went off the rails and reverted back to his caveman self full time.

I remember looking at the stats before the UGA SEC title game and going “man he’d have to average like 5 TDs a game the rest of the way to get that record. That’s probably not happening”, then the dude put up 16 TDs in 3 games. Video game stuff man

I thought the same thing. I remember in the Dome they showed it on the board when he tied the record, then when we broke it.

It is pretty cool it happened in the natty. Too bad Zappe at WKU topped it.

Was there ever a more dominant season than what 2019 LSU put together?!?! I agree that post Ole Miss that year, LSU had the most dominant stretch that we have ever seen to include completely EMBARRASSING multiple top 5 teams.

I do remember the 2018 offense and it was nothing at all like 2019. You are incorrect.
