This is your way of saying "what you posted hurts my ability to make excuses for my coach."
What I posted came straight from the quarterback. Does it matter what was going on internally? Does that change the fact that Etling came out and said they were running plays from the '16 playbook in the first half? Who was the OC in '16? Whose playbook was that? How many points did they score in that first half? How many 3rd down conversions did they convert?
Tell me what I posted that wasn't true.
Learn to follow a thread. I specifically responded to another post and even quoted exactly what I was refuting. The poster said that only the motions were taken out which Etling himself said wasn't the case.

Great analogy.
In no way is this original post an analogy. It could be called an assessment if you’d like. For the record, IMO it’s on both coaches and players. Win as a team, lose as a team

Canada should never have been hired. That is likely Os fault..I say likely because I don't know for sure how much alleva had to do with it.
So... Does O actually do anything in your mind?

I have to be honest...this looks like a red flag to me of made up bullshite at this point. This exact talking point has been made time and again and almost word for word.
This is Page 9 of the playbook of "How to be appear to be a reasonable fan, while still apologizing for Coach Orgeron." You first have to declare you're not a fan of his and that you didn't like the hire...BUT, since he's here now you've decided that you and everyone else needs to "give the man a chance." Second...declare that if he doesn't (without giving details as to just what constitutes success anymore) you'll be the first to light the old torches.
Honestly...I just don't buy this narrative any more.

Even with the win there were so many fans upset with the game play from LSU in that game.
That's kind of a missed point, isn't it?
LSU fans, and the coaches too, used to actually be upset by winning ugly against outclassed teams. Does anyone recall Saban being giddy about LSU's comeback against UK in 2002 on the Bluegrass Miracle play...or was he mostly pissed that it came to that? Was he happy about having to gut it out against Troy in 2004? We fans? Was Miles super pumped about the scare against Troy in '08? I sure as shite know we fans weren't.
But now...in 2018...we've got LSU fans telling us all that we ought to sit back and understand that the loss wasn't nearly that bad. We've literally gone from being justly angry at ugly wins against crappy teams to arguing that losses to shitty teams are now understandable. And mostly, due to players and definitely not the man being paid millions to get them ready.
And people want to suggest there has not been an ongoing attempt to move the goalposts...?

I really don’t think you understand what a “troll” is. You seem to think it’s anyone who simply has a different perspective than you.

Yep. You nailed it. How does one become the worst poster on a message board in less than a month? I mean, it's not even close anymore.

Guice and Williams were both minorly injured and it was a Sunbelt team.
But yeah FU O
It was O avoiding a blame after a bad loss.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Orgeron say that the position coaches were going to be responsible for what players got playing time and how much? Or something like that? My apologies if I got the facts mixed up.

This hasn’t really ever been brought up...but honestly, the suspensions should not have mattered because if I remember correctly these suspensions were handed out prior to the start of the season. And the injured players as far as I remember had nagging injuries I don’t recall anyone going down vs Syracuse.
Point being, it’s not like the suspensions were dealt out during game week or a player went down on practice days before the game. The coaches knew when game planning who would be available.
The coaches failed to have the players ready, and a second half come back was too little too late.

Bottom line, a football team as talented as LSU should never lose to football team so much less talented as Troy. When they do, the loss falls directly on the shoulders of the coaching staff. All this “moving on” some suggest we do would probably happen faster if not for all this excuse making some feel they have to do.

I get so tired of the “team wasn’t prepared bullshite”. You can only prepare a team so much. There is only so much film you can watch. There is only so much you can do in practice.
At the end of the day, the players go on the field and have to execute. They did not. The coaches didn’t make brossette fumble. The players overlooked Troy and paid the price for it.

Who started the 3rd string running back? Whose job is it to make sure the players are mentally focused on the opponent and not overlooking them? Again, this isn't an exclusive thing to Orgeron. It's the same thing that is said about all coaches at any level of amateur athletics.

and so in your mind the head coach is free from blame for his inability to get his players motivated for a lesser opponent?

Nope.
Stop making excuses for Orgeron. He fricked up. He was trying to run the offense for most of the game. He let his pettiness come between him and his OC. It was his responsibility to ensure that the players executed plays. He failed.

To answer...the HC is never completely free of blame.....but you're rationale seems to exonerate the players completely.
We know O was meddling so yes, he gets the lion's share in this one game.

It's the mental preparation we're upset about. Is it easy to overlook a lesser opponent - sure. We're not going to be able to bring the same intensity against Troy that we do against Alabama.
But successful coaches are able to get their teams to play at a high level of intensity every game. Not lay an egg against Troy.
And also remember that we almost laid an egg against Syracuse too. That game was a 2-point game under 2 minutes left in the 4th.
So it's the mental/motivational preparation that we're talking about here.
