It happens. But Beckham found a way to fit in the system. Quinn didn't and he shouldn't have committed to LSU. He was better suited for Clemson (He's a more athletic version of Hunter Renfrow)

I agree. Quinn definitely doesn't, and didn't at any time, suck. He wound up buried on a roster that had a fairly talented WR corps. Nothing more and nothing less.

No reason for these kind of comments.

Clemson, a spread passing offense, wanted Quinn very very badly. In hindsight, he may have been better to go there but he chose to stay home and commit to the tigers. We had a stacked WR corps and not that many passes to go around.

I think he played well as a true frosh but chose to go to a more potent passing attack, which no one can blame him for.

He’s never said one single bad comment about LSU, never talked shite, or acted classless in any way. Kid will make the Skins roster and will be a productive NFL player.

Well said!

We all know TQ got plenty of run blocking practice for LF and DG his sophomore year, total team player who I expect to open big running lanes on the perimeter/downfield for DG in DC!

They arent fair at all and people are stupid to keep bringing up 2 drops in 1 game as evidence someone has "Bad hands" and "Struggles to catch the football"

Quinn had THE BEST hands in college football last season with the lowest drop rate out of anyone with a significant amount of catches. His hands have always been a huge asset, not a negative. 1 game of 2 drops was a bad day, not a trend. People for some reason think a couple drops on a bad day means someone has bad hands, probably because it was bama and everyone on here cant forgive a single thing any player ever does wrong that game.

Why does Quinn get multiple favorable threads but Ben Simmons is almost universally reviled on here?

Trey Quinn is an excellent receiver. Les Miles won alot of huge games as the HC for LSU. Both are winners in life.

It just didnt work out at LSU for Quinn or Miles. Quinn showed loyalty for committing to LSU over Clemson. Miles did his job of keeping top in state talent over the likes of Sweeney and the Clemson's of CFB.

Quinn was given plenty of chances and started as a true freshmen at LSU. Think about that whenever you say the kid was never given a chance.

The staff showed confidence in Quinn when they designed the biggest play with the game on the line against the Gumps to go to Quinn. Everything was set up perfectly to win this game.
The line blocked, Quinn got open, terrific play call, (that you could tell LSu had practiced over and over again and felt that this play would be open when the game was on the line) hell even Harris delivered pretty much an on time and accurate pass.....and then the unthinkable happened; great hands Quinn, dropped the pass.

And it cost LSu and Miles the game against the Gumps. Tough pill to swallow for all.

That drop put him in the "Miles doghouse" and probably hurt his confidence some. shite happens to good guys and players and good guys and coaches. You have to be in the moment and both are humans.

Quinn decided to move to a different school that would throw him the ball and not have him run double move 15 yard routes on passing downs and block for Fournette, the rest of the game. Whats the problem with this? This doesnt make him unloyal to LSU or Louisiana, its a business decision.

This is not a blame game that Quinn didnt live up to expectations because he sucked and transferred way from the state school. Or Miles was at fault for giving up on him or never giving the kid a chance. Its life. Things dont always pan out that should have.

Quinn had a bad game that many won't forget. He did not have bad hands. Malachi Dupre on the other hand had some of the worst hands and placement of any receiver I've ever seen at LSU. I've seen Junior High schoolers with way better form. He's been able to latch onto a roster in the NFL on potential alone. I sure hope he took criticism well.

guess Landry and OBJ sucked here too, early in their career

Did either drop a game clinching pass against Bama that's was maybe the easiest catch if their life?

If so, yes they sucked....but the difference would be that they stuck it out a became great tigers. Nit quinn, he hauled arse like a bitch and went to the equivalent of a juco team...he sucked as a Tiger
