I hope he does well, but i do always laugh when they quote teams from minicamp.

Find me an exec or coach who says how bad a player they just drafted is doing and how disappointed they are in him. lol

I also hope he does well, but when was the last time an NFL coach said a player stunk and was going to get cut early? It's all coach-speak. I never put any stock in what any coach says - only a handful speak honestly (Spurrier, Leach).

I am shocked Les Miles could not recognize NFL talent at WR. Hope Quinn has a long career. Good guy.

Ah. I see we've reached the part of the thread where we just make shite up to start bashing Les Miles.

Awesome.

I mean..they're fair though. You can point out the fact that he couldn't hang on to the ball here at LSU, specifically that Bama game that looked like we should have won, and also be happy that he was able to be successful at SMU and fixed those issues heading into the NFL.

It's about as fair as judging Guice's career on the Florida game.

So Les did use Quinn well and didn’t throw him in the dog house forever? Don’t want to make anything up.

Thrilled the skins got em, I’m a big skins fan and it was depressing watching us draft Bama players over and over again.

I think he’s got a real shot to make the squad, our WR corps is one of the worst I the league and slot guys like him for what Jay is trying to do.

It's the "not recognizing NFL talent part" that was made up.

Don't be dumb.

I mean everyone that was ahead of him except for Tyron Johnson (still in college) is on an NFL roster.

He literally dropped one well thrown ball and one poorly thrown ball, it just happened to be when everyone was watching

Exactly what happened. Dupre was ridden out of bounds on every route, and on the other side, Cooper, the best WR in the nation, dropped three passes. No WR on the field was worth a damn that game.

Bad QB play, an untimely penalty, Miles usual offensive gameplan, and Chavis's prevent defense contributed to that loss just as much as a third down drop.

Apparently Miles "could not recognize NFL talent at WR" though.

So he recognized the talent he just chose not to use it? Man, ole Les was really playing three dimensional chess on offense. So complicated our opponents and fans couldn’t understand the offensive genius.

Or, we could have an honest conversation about Quinn getting a perfectly fair shot as part of a deep, talented WR corp.

Quinn played in every game as a true fresh and soph, 25 games total. He just happened to be behind Malachi Dupre – So. , J Chark – So., John Diarse – So. , Tyron Johnson – Fr., Travin Dural – Jr., and John Diarse – So.

Quinn had a shot in his last game due to injuries to Tyron and Dural, but only managed one grab. Dupre and Diarse each pulled in 4 in a game where LSU threw for 260+. He just didn't put up much production during a time when other WR's were.

they had better that’s to make up for the drops.

Quinn really had neither.

The man love for this kid is insane. People act like he left LSU and went 1st overall not last.

You can't say that with certainty. He probably won't break into to the top 3 spots but it's possible.

He's not breaking ahead of proven WR's (Doctson, Crowder or Richardson). I feel very comfortable with my previous statement.

Odell was opposite Reuben Randle. He caught 40+ balls & nearly had a 500 yard season his FR year. What are you talking about?

Eh. Beckham had issues with drops occasionally. It happens to most college receivers.
