Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn has shown strong hands and quickness out of his breaks during the offseason, according to ESPN's John Keim. Quinn is currently best-suited for the slot, but the team hopes he can learn additional roles. Head coach Jay Gruden referred to Quinn as a 'very quarterback-friendly target.'

A seventh-round pick out of SMU in the 2018 NFL draft, Quinn is a reliable target who can help move the chains. He's what scouts call a 'zone beater' and can find the soft spots to sit down against that type of defense. Quinn is competing for a spot on the depth chart behind Paul Richardson, Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder.

Read this, this morning. Thought it was interesting. Trey Q was always a guy that I wanted to succeed here. Looks like he will be successful at the next level. Will be cool to watch him and Guice on the same field!

He appears to have made the correct decision for himself and seems like a good kid.

Personally, I see no reason for ill will towards him.

I hope he does well, but i do always laugh when they quote teams from minicamp.

Find me an exec or coach who says how bad a player they just drafted is doing and how disappointed they are in him. lol

BAMA COMMENTS!

I mean..they're fair though. You can point out the fact that he couldn't hang on to the ball here at LSU, specifically that Bama game that looked like we should have won, and also be happy that he was able to be successful at SMU and fixed those issues heading into the NFL.

Certain players are held to a higher standard on this board. Trey fit that description. I hope he does well in the NFL.

He's definitely not breaking the top 3 WR's in WASH. His best bet is to take the WR4 spot.

No reason for these kind of comments.

Clemson, a spread passing offense, wanted Quinn very very badly. In hindsight, he may have been better to go there but he chose to stay home and commit to the tigers. We had a stacked WR corps and not that many passes to go around.

I think he played well as a true frosh but chose to go to a more potent passing attack, which no one can blame him for.

He’s never said one single bad comment about LSU, never talked shite, or acted classless in any way. Kid will make the Skins roster and will be a productive NFL player.

Getting away from Miles was the best decision that kid could have made. Hope he balls outrageous.

Trey is a great athlete with big strong hands. Would not be surprised if he has a lengthy role player career in the nfl

I think he dropped a crucial 4th down pass in the Navy game last year as well.

He was buried on the depth chart, that's why he left.

They arent fair at all and people are stupid to keep bringing up 2 drops in 1 game as evidence someone has "Bad hands" and "Struggles to catch the football"

Quinn had THE BEST hands in college football last season with the lowest drop rate out of anyone with a significant amount of catches. His hands have always been a huge asset, not a negative. 1 game of 2 drops was a bad day, not a trend. People for some reason think a couple drops on a bad day means someone has bad hands, probably because it was bama and everyone on here cant forgive a single thing any player ever does wrong that game.

Can't believe our coaching staff back then was dumb enough to give up on him

Honestly, pretty much every transfer we had under Miles amounted to nothing elsewhere, Quinn on the other hand was an elite beast. I hope Tyron Johnson doesnt turn out similar at OK ST, it's his time to shine now there.

Didn't he also have the best drop % in the entire nation last year? He's got good hands, there are just a few cases of badly timed drops.

Tyron is a great WR prospect, but apparently a bit of a headcase. He had some issues at OSU as well. Hopefully he gets it together, because he's a top 2 round talent I think.
