However, they are far from a big-time basketball school. Their "multiple" national championships came in 1974 & 1983 respectfully.
NC State: 4 Final Fours (1950, 1974, 1983, 2024)
LSU: 4 Final Fours (1953, 1981, 1986, 2006)

NC State 5 wins in a weak conference. LSU 3 wins in the strongest conference.
