If they find the two other people named and can’t prove payments were made, I think that would be a good thing for Coach Wade.

Hopefully, the Smart family, the middle men, and Wade all have their stories correct.

Yup. If they all tell believable and consistent stories that they weren't paid, and if Wade doesn't have to testify, then all this blows over for lack of proof, and Wade goes on to further greatness and wins national titles for LSU.

Hey Witetap Willy, stop being an a-hole and go talk to your bosses about how you fricked up and got caught talking about paying a recruit.

I’m content as long as they let Smart play. I can understand the Wade suspension but sitting Smart accomplishes nothing.

If I were a witness in federal trial(not the subject) and they wouldn't allow me to have my attorney present or give me a summary of the questions to be asked and they suspended me due to that. I would turn and sue the company for damages caused by the suspension.

f Wade can’t even lie/tell the truth and say one line “I didn’t violate NCAA rules” to LSU, I don’t blame them for the suspension

I agree, but shouldn't Alleva have asked this back in October and talked with anyone and everyone he could get information from about the wiretap information? Due diligence. Maybe Alleva didn't want to know enough.

I think everyone is going a little too much all in right now

If in a month, the full tape is released and Wade is clear as day talking about money and illegal benefits, he is the ultimate bad/guy dumbass

Yes, our admin has bundled it, but I think people are being a little too quick making Wade this innocent poor lamb

If that was the case they would have done that a year ago! So this new tape comes out now they want to talk but they knew he was on wire taps. Biggest problem is the working relationship between the LSU admins and LSU coaches. Alleva wanted him to coach and got overruled. This same board screwed up the jimbo hire. They won’t let go of talking to wade now on there terms and wade is asking to let it go till the trial is over. Why rock the boat now? That’s the problem. The admin is more worried about what may come and trying to minimize it than what as fans we have waited for 2 coaching tenures! A chance at a championship!

Lol, and for u downvoters mark my words, If Wade doesn't coach NCAA tournament he ain't coming back. That is the whole point of coaching college Basketball, to make NCAA tournament and coach your team to a final four.

I don’t have his contract, but according to LSU he’s in breach of contract. If that’s true, then he has no legal leg to stand on.

The bigger question is why was he advised to not meet with his bosses?

Hard to see a scenario where he's back.

There's a whole gaggle of people that feel the same way.

I'm actually shocked by how many Will Wade haters are lovers of the football coach.

If he’s not back this season, it’ll be a crying shame. The administration would’ve wasted the best season in 30 years.

My question is: if Smart gets cleared, then why the frick do the admins think it's necessary to go on this crusade?! The Yahoo article singles that out as the sole issue in the wiretap, so why the hell can't they reinstate CWW?

Potential answer: Huge gaping vaginas and even bigger egos (and incompetence).

They want the season vacated almost as much as fans of rival schools just so they don’t have to compare O’s consistent 4-6th place finishes in the SEC to Wade winning a title in his second year

FBI most likely told him to not talk to anyone about his testimony with anyone not a party to the trial. It's a very common practice to tell a witness that.

The attorney wants to be there to make sure LSU doesn't cross that line and the list of questions would be to tell LSU in advance what of those question Wade will be able to answer.

Where is his contract would it say he's not allowed to have his attorney present? It won't because it is his right. Especially, if LSU has theirs present.
