Then you should vote Republican because they gave you 1 of the only 3 things you care about.

You mentioned more than once that Republicans aren’t serious about cutting taxes but that’s false. Last year they gave you one of the largest tax cuts in history, ranging from the 4th to the 6th largest in history according to the Tax Foundation and most think tanks. Even when factoring in tariffs, it is still the 6th to the 8th largest tax cut in history.

Democrats want to raise taxes.

So if the other two things you care about, the deficit and spending, are a wash (although Democrats will spend more than Republicans) as both parties will fail to address them, then it seems the logical choice would be to vote for the party that gives you 1 of the 3 things you care about.

FFS, this tribal crap is such a cancer.

Yeah, the Dems suck. So does the GOP.

No, voting for the Dems doesn’t fix that. Neither does voting for the GOP.

And, to the slackjaws on this board, any criticism of the GOP means you wanted Kamala.

Democracy is so overrated when the voters are this damn stupid.

I drove through Mountain Brook last week and the amount of DOUG signs was hilarious. Save your $5 and keep your lawn clean. Also move to Boston if you don't like how Alabama works. There are already plenty of liberal paradises, we don't need another one.

You realize that the republican senate and congress does the same thing, right? The only changes we have had since Trump took office have been through executive order. Instead of codifying the EO's into law, the GOP legislative branch avoids their mandated responsibility.

The GOP has done nothing of substance, and the result is that when a democrat becomes president, they will easily dismantle every executive order.

You should spend your efforts holding your side accountable instead of attacking those that do.

And it would not be the good kind of gridlock; the Dems will do everything they can to stop Trump's agenda.

And when the Dems do put a spending bill on Trump's desk, they will defund border security and increase spending like nothing we've seen before, which was too much spending already.

It’s cute watching prospective Democrat voters convince themselves Democrats will cut spending, reduce the deficit, and lower inflation something they have never cared about in the least.

Gridlock would be a welcome change, this admin is actively making everything worse. Doing nothing would be an improvement.

Because the GOP (and Democrats) are sooooooo interested in governing? Both see governing as a pain in the arse and taking away from fundraising so as to find a way to make some of it stick. The Republicans would rather that Trump do 90 -95 % of the work while the rest of them ensure a lucrative retirement.
