Well ended up at Mike Andersons. Wasn’t a long wait and a couple of Tiger fans bought us some cold Budweisers so I can’t complain. Food has been solid as well!

BeachDude has been here since 2006 (newb to me) and I’ve never noticed him before. I’m enough of a sarcastic a-hole that most have noticed me at some point.

How do you Baton Rougeans rate Parrain's? I've only been there once, and was surprised how large it was. Don't recall what I had, but if it was bad, I'd remember.

Seems like I never hear it recommended, though.

Sister restaurant to The Chimes. A little more than bar food but very similar menus. Quite good.

I think I went there once. Good environment if I’m remembering correctly. Of course, I’m a Charlestonian now.

It gets recommended all the time on this and the food board.

It’s a good place that represents BR’s food scene well

I took my parents to Parrain's the night before graduation, they loved it.

Don’t live in Louisiana anymore, but I always enjoyed going back to Little Village. It’s been a few years since I last dined there. It was always a great time.

I remember that being my impression of the place.

When I went to it, that was the first time I'd ever even heard of it. This was only a few years ago.

Glad to hear it's doing well.

I keep hearing about traffic and people leaving early on the forums and wanted to give my 2 cents. Drove 7 hours to see TS and I expect it to be electric. We got 2 historic programs 2 great fanbases so let’s go! I agree 11 am sucks! Me and the wife have been in Baton Rouge since 3 and we are having a blast. All fans rise up and lets show CBS up! F*** Bama Go Vols!

Game will be good but you are getting cheated out of the game day experience that is LSU. People are invested heavily in this. It is a crock pot recipe to simmer all day and then serve at dusk. And you know southern folk, we gotta visit errrrbody!

I don’t see anything foolish with this post. Do you see it as foolish? If so, how exactly? It’s obviously not a troll. There’s 50 or more posts a day(and that’s on a slow day) that if they were called foolish, would be an understatement , yet see no BeachDude

If this is a foolish thread, then 90% of the folks that start threads on this site should be banned. That’s all I’m saying.

Louisiana Lagniappe, Parain's, Mansur's, Juban's, Gino's, and Little Village. All of those are great restaurants.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes.

I do forget about Mansur’s. I shouldn’t.
