The only thing that could bring that back is like 10 years of being the Vanderbilt football program.

Tiger Stadium is old and outdated. We need to knock it down and build something like the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta.

Confidence from the entire fan base has to come back. It’ll come when our offense plays at the level of our defense again. Boring, bad offense has become the norm and it has caused us to become apathetic. Tiger stadium still rocks for big games, but if you want people to stay you have to put on a show for 4 quarters. LSU hasn’t put on a show in over a decade except for 2011. And most of that was an entertaining as hell turnover machine of a defense. All that being said, you’ll never get the crowds back for the Southeasterns and Rices of the world. Especially late in the year when it’s cold. Every single game is on tv now, unlike 15 years ago, and people like the comfort of their couch more than fighting traffic and paying for parking to watch us play cup cakes.

Simple. Let real fans take the seats when the season ticket holders leave early.

Seat X is vacant take his ticket stub on his way out and sale it to a real fan for a dollar.

2012 LSU/Bama was near the top. Anyone who says otherwise wasn't there.

Its a different era now unfortunately. Sports consumption has changed drastically in these 15 years.

This is very true. For less exciting games. Put a better product on the field and you can still get the most out of tiger stadium for SEC and big name games.

I see where you're going with this, but it's kind of strange timing right after our last home game of the season.

Yep we are spoiled by tv and a long stretch of winning. This year the UGA and Bama games were close to this.

meh, most people these days are into instant gratification and distracted by social media devices, also, product on the field has a lot to do with it, I have a drawer full of tickets to LSU home games from the Hallman-DiNardo debacle that I couldn't give away

Why ask questions whose answers are Nick Saban?

The Bama game atmosphere this year was everything that one was, until everyone realized we were getting curb stomped (basically, about the end of the first half).

Darn PETA lovers put an end to Mike on the field

I don't know about that. Other schools have live animals on their field. Seems like if it's PETA then Colorado wouldn't be doing this. Also, did Saban get hair plugs? His hair looks thinner 15 years ago than it does now.

Most ignorant thing ever was letting that coach leave to Miami
I do not know, this thought is not very well-considered.

Anyone watching Nick Saban from his Michigan State and LSU days KNEW, from his background as an NFL assistant to his being mentioned in so many rumors for six or seven years, that he was going to try the NFL.

It was always a matter of WHEN and not if. There was nothing, at that point, that LSU could do. He was getting top pay and whatever else he wanted. His goal, all along, had been the NFL.

Overpricing, political correctness (letting bleeding hearts dictate what we do with our live tiger) and a new generation of people who bury their heads in their phones all day is mainly responsible for all of this.

It's true that the current head coach doesn't exactly inspire excitement, either, but we've been through lean years in the past and had a better gameday atmosphere.

There's nothing anyone can do about the cell phone people. Those people can't be bothered to look up. But the administration can do something about the prices by, you know, lowering them. And they could have some balls and stand up to PITA.
