What has happened that has led you to this conclusion?
I would say probably experience on this board. Usually, when "rumors" break they are immediately met with dismissal from those who don't want it to be true...only for the rumors to eventually be proven to have some truth to them.
Clearly Nussmier was hurt to the point where at least more than one person felt it could be serious. The injury wasn't "reported" by the media, but the media, through LSU, did feel compelled to announce he was "ok". If it were no big deal, I don't think the media or LSU would feel compelled to even discuss it.
Then you get an abrupt and unexpected cancellation of the media availability for today's practice. That could have NOTHING to do with the rumors. But the odd change does at least raise some curiosity.
My uniformed opinion -- I think Nuss probably suffered an injury like he did vs. Oklahoma last year. When it initially happened he reacted like it was a very serious shoulder/collarbone injury. Two series later he was throwing a bomb to Hilton (no doubt injection aided). I'm betting the same thing happen. The "leaker" saw an initial bad reaction and thought the worst...like we all did in the OU game. But after further evaluation it wasn't as serious as the initial reaction suggested.

They’re late… what does this mean?
Since Nuss got his legs removed they are probably taking more time putting his prosthetic legs on.

Brian Kelly says Nussmeier has patella tendinitis, not an ACL. He was throwing today and will likely be out there in "a practice situation." #LSU

BK said it was a 1.5 on a scale of 10 on Nuss’s deal.

Very well said.
That's basically what I was getting at but didn't feel like putting that much effort into it.

know something we don't know cluckster? I know you usually do these for the press conferences during game weeks, but can't recall ever seeing you start a thread about practice and the press conference to follow. Although, my memory is shite.
With everything that happened a few days ago and how weird things have kind of been afterwards, I'm halfway expecting Nuss to have an injury that while maybe isn't season ending, it may keep him out a month or so. Obviously, I hope that's not the case, but I've been checking TD every few hours almost expecting to see a thread stickied with that info. They've had a lot of media come out and say he's not injured, so I hope those sources are correct.
Being a Saints/Pelicans/Astros fan, that's how I've come to expect things like this to play out.
All of this is perfectly acceptable feelings.........for a bitch.
The saints are coming off of their most successful run in program history.
The Astros have been the most consistent team in baseball.
LSU has been one of the premier programs in CFB.
The pels just suck.

Unless I’m wrong, Moscana mentioned on Locked On, Tuesday I think, that Friday practice was closed. Pre Nuss’s leg falling off.
Again, I could be wrong on timing.

Always with the most reasonable and sensible takes on this board.

Sloan speaks so fast with cliche driven commentary. He may simply be intentional in giving very little info, but I hope there is more ingenuity in attacking defenses this year and full utilization of all these weapons at his disposal.

Sloan refuses to address anything about himself in these press conferences. He was asked a direct question about his play calling and he deflected to every other coach. That’s twice I’ve seen him do it. I have zero respect for that.
