Post here if you always knew it was just a matter of time before Will Wade was brought back? The day he was fired I knew eventually as soon as some time went by and we got competent administrators he would be right back!

That's a stretch. As late as last March there was a next to zero chance Wade could be brought back. That all changed in late October/early Nov. when Woodward was fired and Rousse was hired as president. I did not think it was a 100% certainty Wade would return at that point because Wade still had to agree to do so. However, I knew LSU was going to attempt to hire him at the end of the season barring some remarkable season by McMahon. Remarkable by normal standards, not McMahon's low standards.

From that point on the dots all started to connect. Rousse as President. Mallet as Chairman as the BOS. Zero statement from LSU regarding McMahon's future after the end of season and, finally, the leak that LSU was intending to hire Schroyer in the AD.

Anyone who thought it was an impossibility does not understand how the world works; there are few impossibilities where hiring a coach is concerned.

Anyone who knew it was just a matter of time was delusional and got lucky. If BK puts in just a little effort, Woodward may still be here, and Wade is not returning. If Tate were still here, it would not have happened.

So many other things could have happened, including Wade getting hired at a significantly better basketball school (like Kentucky or Florida) before LSU came to its senses. That was my fear.

Heck, NC State would be considered marginally better. This was a situation where a coach preferred one place to another simply based on his connections to the place, and that was bolstered by Rousse & Shroyer coming on board.

Let's count our blessings and just let the people invested in hating Wade wallow in their own salty tears, we have better things to do.

As the Rant ANTI-MA, (That actually played Football in High School and hates losing) I'm totally IN on the Gangsta Pear return.

Make LSU Basketball "Late 70's/80's" great again!

Transmutate the PMORGUE with its resident Earthbound Ghosts and Demonic Spirits back into the PMAC!

I wanted to believe. It always felt like he belonged here. He’s such a great fit here and I’m glad he never stopped loving us

You could also post pics of the Assembly Center for Women’s vs Men’s games. A study in contrasts.
I’m excited for the Real Death Valley and Deaf Dome to be reignited!

I always thought it would be possible, but a lot of things had to line up right and I NEVER thought it would be this fast. I figured maybe 5 or 6 more years down the road.

Agreed. This sums it up

Well that was the moment that rallied the money people to eat the BK buyout and give Landry the ammo he needed to get Scott to step down….neither Kiffin or Wade are here under Scott

Seems a little early to spike the ball until we see if this actually works and leads to real sustained high-level success for the program.

I didn't believe it would get done, but I suppose I underestimated just how obsessed Landry was with getting this done.

That’s hilarious coming from your ilk that would take victory laps if we were within double digits with 6 minutes left in a game and still lost by 20.

The worst thing about the haters neverWaders was they were constantly claiming it was because of paying players and "muh NCAA" that made me love him. He was willing to do WHAT EVERY big time hoops school was doing.

frick the NCAA

Hated losing WW because of the lack of backing from Admin. Football was threatened and it left NO choice for Administrators.
Wade didn’t handle the situation right but he also probably knew Admin didn’t have is back. Coach K, Pitino, and Self weren’t treated the same. WW was the scapegoat for MBB around the country. Self won a Natty 2 months later. Dickhead Vitale was the natl media mouthpiece that didn’t help. SW didn’t want Wade from the get go and football being threatened made it a no brainer for Doughboy.
As the clock turned Admin changed to Pro-Wade and the rest is history. The fans got what they wanted and the MBB is energized. I’m elated always been in the General’s army. Now the silent majority can melt.

On my group text I would always tell my friends that there was still a chance to hire WW the last two seasons but I was told to move on. But I kept the faith lol

He should have never been fired for doing what everyone else was doing. That whole Dickie V/Woodward/NCAA sacrificial lamb stuff was stupid.
