it is amazing how many people are ignorant of what you clearly stated. Laughable really

Although Vandy is definitely better. I'd be surprised. That SC win 31-7. SC outgained Vandy in yardage 328-320. SC just had really bad turnovers. The player personnel for them are still all 3 stars whereas we are 4 stars with some 5 stars.

Vandy is still living off a fluke win vs Alabama last season. Vandy is not a good football team and their qb is about as overrated as it gets. LSU should win by 2 scores
It took LSU 5 turnovers to beat Florida by 2 scores, Vandy is better
LSU beat USC by 10 at home, Vandy beat them by 24 on the road

You realize South Carolina didn’t have its starting qb for the majority of that game correct?

If that’s true, then that’s the first time Vandy has been favored in an SEC game since 2012.

LSU hasn't beat the brakes off anybody. But Vandy is gonna be the one....okay lol

That is ssssssoooo cute that you think the Vegas boys and the betting public are Gods at judging football games.
They are the closest thing to it.
They are the closest thing to it.

Line opened at LSU -3.5 and currently sits at LSU + 2.5. That’s a lot of very early money going on Vandy. 6 point swing.

It is all about QBs.
To be fair, we sucked in the RZ last year when Nuss wasn't hurt and was slinging it.
I'd argue that it's all in the scheme that can't compensate/adjust for when we don't come out playing well.
We're a 20pt kinda offense.

I'll just say this, we shut them down pretty good last year.....with THAT defense. I'm not sure to what extent they improved their talent on offense if any but I do know we have significantly improved defense.
Now can we score enough? Valid question. There were small signs of improvement offensively, goal line turnovers not being one of them. But I can only hope for more of that improvement this week and is so we should win.

Their defense is arse. They gave up 35 to Utah State.
But yet they still beat us. Why do you think that is?
You think that maybe our opponents might mentally get up / are better prepared to play when they see "LSU" on the schedule?
Vandy will be ready for us Saturday AM, fingers crossed we are also.

Nuss was way more confident. Which made a significant difference in the passing game. Which opened up the run game. That being said, Nuss played poorly. I think it’s a positive sign, but not really a signal that we are now elite.
Even with our offensive woes, I don’t think there is any reason to walk into a game with the feeling of an assured loss with our defense and special teams. On the flip side, there is no reason to be overtly confident either based on our QB play.

Agreed - can't be elite with where the offense is now and the combination of the disjointed o-line play and Nuss's erratic decision making I don't see a future where there is enough improvement there to be elite. But I can say I'm not seeing a lot of elite anywhere in college football this year so with our defense we can still compete with pretty much anyone IMHO.

Frankly, Vanderbilt should be favored.

The opening spread was -3.5 LSU and quickly changed to -1.5. Now its vandy -2.5. Pretty crazy

Yeah look ahead line LSU -3.5. I can certainly see why Vandy is getting pounded early when new lines were released. If you just watch both teams hate to say it Vandy plays with a more physicality than LSU. Pavia playing better than Nuss this year so far. So I can see why early money taking Vandy. LSU going have to play a very good game to come away with a win this weekend.
