Van Horn kept them in the game with the gutsy move to pull his All SEC pitcher who has an ERA under 2.00 since May and held LSU to 3 runs until the 8th inning.
I'm not sure about some of his moves from the 8th inning on (pitching to Curiel) but he was proven right that Arkansas couldn't afford to give up another run and that at bat to Frey in the 2nd inning was very important.

Dude. The frick you talking about? If they were gonna lose (they accepted it when they pulled starter) this is best case scenario for them after a loss in the opener.

Wasn’t the worst move. He has a solid pen, kid was at almost 40 pitches in what 1 2/3 innings? Bullpen did what they needed to stay in it. LSU just matched the pitching performance. By pulling him he could probably go again Tuesday if they win Monday.
