MVB ran 69 times for -12 yards in 2024 and completed 55% of his passes.
His “running ability” does not make up for his lack of performance in the passing game. Huss hasn’t been great, but throwing MVB in because the o line can’t figure out the blocking scheme isn’t going to solve anything. MVB isn’t in because Kelly is trying to win, not develop.

We’ve gone full bananas with the MVB is Micheal Vick shite. Reminds me of when Finley took over for a couple games in 2020 everyone thought he was a runner when the kid’s 40 time could be measured with a sun dial.

I really think Nuss has a strong chance of getting injured in this game. A&M has legit pass rushers for 3rd down and Chester and Davis at tackle are gonna be in hell all night. Nuss is no threat to run either so it’s gonna be hit after hit every play. Van Buren is gonna get snaps in this game.

Go watch the entire Miss St @ Ga game from last year. Stats don’t always paint the picture. He is more that capable and deserves a chance considering the ship is sinking.

did not prepare one iota to defend against a QB who can run. Brian Kelly is such a pussy for not making the move.

Yes, give him a series or two a game, then talk about using him more in pressers to make other team waste time in practice. That’s what an elite coach would do

Promise of a redshirt season is the only thing that makes sense that we have only seen him the 1 time very late against Southeastern, otherwise he should have been the starter for that game alone. That would have allowed Nuss a week to heal up before the Ole Miss game the following week which was then followed with the bye week prior to the South Carolina game. That would have given Nuss 2 weeks of rest in a 3 week period, and allowed MVB to get significant practice reps along with a chance to start and develop some chemistry with the offense to gauge what he has to offer.
