Meanwhile, schools are as unhappy as ever about the effectiveness and efficiency of the NCAA enforcement process, and at least one basketball coach who was caught on an FBI wiretap talking about arranging a deal for a recruit remains employed at $2.5 million per year.

Dan Wolken is 100% worse than Darren Rovell, and Rovell is fricking trash himself.

I love the irony of that statement. They’re saying it’s absurd a Coach being paid 2.5 mil is employed because someone might have paid one of his players, a poor kid from Scotlandville, what he deserves based on his value on the market. In a world where Nicholas Batum is being paid 25 million not to play basketball for the bobcats.
The crime is not paying Javonte smart but paying a dude that stands on the side and makes zero adjustments.

But when it was proven in court that Zion was feinted and by rule not an amateur no one cared?

When Bush was playing he said he took the entire offensive line to dinner each week at the best steak house in L.A.
I said, at the time, how does a kid from the inner city have the money to do that. The NCAA is asleep when they don't see something so obvious.

Article written by Dan Wolken? Makes sense.
quote:The only thing that quote means is that Dan Wolken is the one who is as unhappy as ever. Its simply a chickenshit way of him injecting his own opinion.

It's about Sean Miller.
KU had an assistant, and I don't think they have anything on Coach K unfortunately.
