Is a pretty nebulous concept. There has to be a degree of selfishness for a great athlete to perform. e.g. "I want the ball" attitude in all sports. Such as a pitcher wanting to close out a tight game, a basketball player wanting to get that crucial rebound or a receiver fighting the d.b. for the ball.
He clarifies in the video. When he says selfishness he means not doing the little things. A running back not pass blocking, poor coverage on special teams not running your route with effort when you’re not the primary receiver. Things that have to be done for a football team to be successful but things that aren’t “fun”.
I don’t think that one applies to us

LSU lost what would have amounted to like 4 seasons worth of nfl prospects at a very solid SEC school like Auburn in one offseason
How is that overstated lol
Offensively, outside of the Auburn game, LSU hasn't had an issue generating enough offense/points to win games. The loss of all those offensive players seemingly hasn't caused any concern for them.
Defensively, we lost roughly the same amount of players.
Look at the talent on that side of the ball. People leaving last year doesn't just make those players worse.
But if repeating the draft losses over and over again makes fans feel better about the product on the field, then by all means, keep repeating it to yourself.
There is more than just a "wE lOSt sO mUch tO tHe NfL" going on this season. Not sure how that isn't blatantly obvious.
ETA: Also, LSU should beat Moo State and Missouri on talent alone. Doesn't matter who left to go to the NFL. No excuse.

Dude, the offense has been problematic in every game except Vandy & SC.

Good ol conspiracy theory guy.
It can never be the most obvious thing with you people. Lmao

*losing great coordinators and replacing them with not so great coordinators

Pelini has been a nightmare. The fact nobody can grasp his defense is insane to me

That statement is patently wrong in the context of a TEAM sport. All that great talent is nearly useless if it hasn't been molded into a coherent unit. In fact great talent alone acting relatively independently is a recipe for disaster. Newcomers have to be coached put of their high school scheme mentalities, last year's back ups have to be coached in the new years' scheme, etc. Nobody has a monopoly of great athletes
Great athletes aren't plug and play. The more you have to replace in any situation, the greater the difficulty of cohesion. The greater the need for time.

This is a stupid take. If joe burrow never existed at LSU, everyone would be saying how Myles looked like he would be one of LSU’s best ever with the way he started and was improving. You just have a short memory....

He’s not bad, you just aren’t winning anything with him

Alabama has the best offensive in the country and their QB isn’t a running threat. Just saying.

With Chase back and a defense with a pulse we're probably 4-1 at worst right now

We put up 34 against State and 41 against Mizzou. Didn’t realize that was problematic. Were we perfect? No. Did we put up enough points against those teams to win? Yes had our defense not been a fricking sieve.
The only game our offense has truly been problematic was against Auburn where we were starting a true freshman in the road.

Urban Meyer is 24/7 looking for self gratification like many Twatter users.
very similar to an attention whore minus the large breasts and fat arse.
Larry is big on Urban as he links the crap coming out of Urbans mouth daily.

Lester, I agree to a point with all 3.
And we had Shelvin, Vincent, and Chase opt out.
But how do these explain the complete regression of say Damone Clark?

Did we lose our entire team?

First of all, what year is it?
Second of all, I’m talking about CFB

LSU only put up that amount of points because the defense created like 7 turnovers, including 2 defensive TDs
Offense thrives on short fields
Otherwise, 5/27 on 3rd down in those 2 games. And the obvious failure to score at the Missouri goaline at the end of the game.

1) losing the most players to the nfl in an offseason in the history of history
2) replacing both coordinators, as well as players mentioned above, in a shortened, unprecedented pandemic season.
3)lack of a talented, mobile QB
But we lost to State and Mizzou.
