D1 Baseball also has LSU #2.

SEC schools are just beating each other up. I think a lot of those in the middle of the conference are capable of making a deep run.

RPI seems low IMO.

Our SOS schedule is what is holding our RPI down. If we just had a little bit of a tougher non conference schedule, we'd have a top 5 RPI.

It is amazing how much they drop Tenn and Ark when losing a series but FSU loses a series and drops 1 spot...WTF

Our RPI was 6 before the NW State loss. It probably would be top 5 had we won that one.

Dropped further than I thought but it’s a culmination of them dropping 3 straight series.

They’d still be a top 8 seed today sitting at 14-7 in the SEC even though they dropped that much in the polls

I said this yesterday, it’s crazy to think we’re #2 and honestly not even playing our best baseball yet.

As the temps rise and hopefully our bats get hot and more consistent, imagine what May and June could be.

How is Clemson #3 in D1 poll? Didn't they just get swept??

LSU is the only SEC team that moved up more than 1 spot after a series win. All other SEC teams either moved up just 1 spot, or dropped 5+ spots with series losses.

NCST, Oregon, UNC, UCI all moved up 4+ spots in the polls. Clemson got swept at home and FSU lost the series, both only drop 1 spot.

Someone should tell them that LSU just isn’t that good this year. They obviously don’t know that.

Maybe this is true. But is anybody really that good this year? I feel like its a down year in College Baseball compared to previous years. I think its one of those years where anybody in the top 20 wouldn't shock me if they won the title.

Texas has their first real road test and arky is usually very good at home

The discrepancy of Florida State shows how simply clueless and pointless these rankings still are.

FSU and Clemson. Nc state moved up a dozen spots

It’s just a clear ACC bias

Outside of Texas I agree. Also...compare our 2023 to our 2025 team...there is no comparison...and 2023 still struggled to win it all....and this team isn't near as good...but maybe is anyone else

meh.. you had me til Shores. Not sure it'll happen or if we really need him to reach the highest highs.

Shores has shown the ability to get you through the lineup once. If he can consistently fill that hole, that is huge.

Feels like D1 is trying to posture/affect things moving towards the end of the year so that hopefully more ACC teams get higher seeds. SEC will be well represented in Omaha almost certainly in my mind. League is DEEP.

Dropping Clemson from 2 to 3 after being swept is inexcusable.

And honestly, not sure we deserve a 5-spot jump after going 2-2 on the week even though the series win against TEN is obviously great.

Because northwestern does not hurt...and everyone else lost the weekend. Pretty simple. We go 3-3 over next two series we will be in good shape going into finale against SC
