if LSU does not win the SEC outright, then I can see this happening.

I just don't see Clemson being a national seed after getting swept to Series in a row.

One would think that a website that's trying to sell itself as an expert on the seeding with regards to the NCAA baseball tournament would know that there is no such thing as a 12 seed in the tournament.

I feel like we can take Texas Tech in this scenario. Feel like our pitchers are getting it together this time of year, compared to shriners early on.

TT would have their hands full winning their regional with Texas A&M in it.

TAMU shut out TT 9-0 in their Houston Shriner's game.

South Florida in Baton Rouge wouldn't be a pleasant match-up for the Tigers either.

Besides the Clemson at #6 I can see things playing out the way this is set up.

It will be interesting to see if the selection committee sticks to their mantra of "who you play matters". If that is the case, LSU has a GREAT argument for a national seed as currently their overall SOS is #5. The downside is so do UF and Kentucky and they both took series from LSU.

I think Florida is probably a lock for a national seed. Kentucky has an overall SOS of #9 and a non-conf. SOS of #29 (LSU's numbers are #5 and #28 respectively). The big question may be does the committee give the SEC 3 national seeds?

If SOS matters as much as the selection committees like to say it does, then LSU arguably has a better resume (right now) than: Louisville, Texas Tech, TCU, Clemson, Wake Forest, UVA, Stanford.

Louisville is great, but they's also played a really shitty schedule. To a lesser extent you could say the same about Oregon St. Still, both team dominated their schedule, which has to count for something. I think if the season ended today you would see:

1. UNC
2. Florida
3. Oregon St.
4. Kentucky
5. Louisville
6. TCU
7. LSU
8. Texas Tech

TT is way too low. Beat TCU 2 out of 3 and TCU just lost a series to Oklahoma. Kentucky is also too high. If this is how you think it'll play out, remember that Kentucky and UF play this weekend. One will drop the other. No way they finish that close.

We should be ahead of Wake Forest, Stanford and Clemson. Were right on the edge of a national seed.

To secure a national seed we need a series win this weekend and/or a share of the SEC reg season championship.

If we win the SEC reg season title outright or win the SEC Tournament were a national seed for sure.

These look sketchy at best. I'll wait for Baseball America and D1Baseball's to come out.

They won't send Starkville to Corvalis, and also send Long Beach to Chapel Hill.
