"Texas was tricky": The LongHorns are saying that the aggies released it.....the writer of the article is the aggie beat writer for the Chronicle ...in a desperate attempt to stop it. The aggie A.D. was at media days, the only A.D. to be present, in years. What's not being discussed , according to several articles, is that discussions have been going on for several mths & that the aggies were deliberately kept out of the discussions. If I am A&M, that would piss me off, royally.

The only traditional rivalry games that would be lost are LSU/Auburn and Georgia/Tennessee.

Those actually both really only started when the SEC Split into divisions in the early 90s. But they're both great games and I'd hate to see them go.

These are high level sensitive negotiations you don't want unfolding in public. You keep shite heads like a&m in the dark until you no longer have to because you don't want leaks. and surprise, they found out and leaked it

How do you get a Conference Championship Game out of that and how many "Guaranteed" to get into playoffs?

Agree, but something has to go.

Auburn/Georgia would pair up, and then Tennessee/Florida would pair up, leaving no way Tennessee/Georgia could play.

Bama would probably grab Kentucky from Pod 1, but they'd likely be stuck with LSU and Oklahoma from the other pods, so it all evens out.

Ole Miss, State, LSU, Arkansas
A&M, Mizzou, Texas, Oklahoma
Auburn, Bama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
Florida, Georgia, Kentucky USCe

This makes the most sense for pods.

frick Texas. This move will negatively affect LSU, Arkansas, and ATM more than any other members. The rest of the conference will reap the benefits at our expense.

I'd prefer Oklahoma and Oklahoma state, but it looks like its too late.

Sankey is a shithead too.

Play your pod and 6 additional games. Play every opponent every 4 years.

You would actually play them every two years in this format, one at home and one away every four years. So basically if a recruit stays four they get to experience playing in every sec stadium. It's a great setup.

They'll switch A&M with Arkansas. More balanced.

Going further, each team would host every team at least once every 4 seasons.

And the best part is how Texas tricked Aggy into leaking it, speeding up the process for them.

Aggy tricking seems like a simple but enjoyable thing to do.

Can't wait for that first LSU vs OU game in Norman.

I'm with you. I will be there for sure in p&g. Probably complaining about the tailgating like I usually do when I go to OU games.

I guess that means 4 big mega conferences now:

Dint be surprised if its 3 mega conferences, with PAC 12 being relegated into obscurity.

I agree. I don't see how this helps LSU whatsoever. In fact I hate this. I also don't care to see Texas more than I have to.

We know that TX and OK will benefit big time financially by joining the SEC and its revenue sharing system, but what are they giving the SEC in return? Can anybody answer that?
