Hey, 87 has that completely/thoroughly covered page after page in this thread. Don't throw me in on that.

It has nothing to do with the message board and protecting or not protecting anymore. He is going to the police station. They will determine whether the outcome looks good or not. Whatever is said now won't change things one way or the other.

True. But it is a message board. If we didnt bitch at people who we think are wrong, what the hell would be the point? There would be like two threads and a bunch of hand holding. Count me out. If somehow I am proven to be wrong I hope bbap and lsufball release the legions of doom from hell on me

I'm really not trying to get involved in this lovers' spat, but tell Oxford Dictionary that "suspect" doesn't have a firm definition.

NOUN
[ 's?s?pekt ]
a person thought to be guilty of a crime or offense

Now, it's true that it has no legal implications, but throwing around the word has very real connotations. One reason why police started using the "person of interest" label.

Alright then, speculation time.
One of La'el's podnuhs did it on his own trying to "help out" his friend.
Collins is innocent and not a suspect.
LsuPride gives us 30 more pages saying I told y'all he wasn't a suspect.
LSU stops recruiting people with a last name of Collins
The end

They've even gotten away from person of interest. Again it doesn't mean anything. Just a word for some people to flip their shite over.

Nah, when the name gets cleared, I will go out with one post in a blaze of absolute glory. Then I will sit back with the crawfishing and pat my own back and rub my belly

People aren't in this thread arguing guilt or innocence. You keep arguing that he is innocent, and I don't see anyone disagreeing. Others have just pointed out that police don't release all of their inner thinkings to the public.

I have not said that once. Nope. I am arguing La'el collins is not currently a suspect in the crime of murdering Mills

LOL @ everyone thinking La'el is going to be a suspect if he's the father....that doesnt mean anything.....if he's not a suspect, he's not a suspect. So much circumstantial evidence we are not hearing publicly but people ALWAYS assume the worst. I also laugh at people who think just because hes talking to police that it means he might be a suspect still....even though they clearly say hes not. There are lots of non-suspects that talk to police. Dont you people watch Law & Order? Geezus.

Exactly. Not saying it's true, but most players who have been recruited since middle school and been coddled and told how amazing they are treat people like that and act like they run the joint. They can and have gotten away with whatever they wanted most of their lives.

We all know this. What the hell is the point of posting a sunflower seed janitor story in this thread? Just seems unnecessary and bush league

The million dollar question for the NFL is the following:

• Is the new born his baby?

This will answer all concerns whether they are bad or good for him.

I wish him the best.

So after 13 of the 15 pages here being dedicated to defining what the hell the word suspect means, can we move on and just post information in here? Our should this thread be renamed what is a suspect? and moved to the OT while a new thread with information to start on the Rant?

"He's not a suspect, but we are seeking to question him," Corporal Don Coppola told NFL Media's Albert Breer. "He knew the victim. We're not sure of the exact nature of the relationship. But for the investigation and through the investigation, we're exhausting all avenues to locate this young lady's killer."

Collins is not the only person they have reached out to regarding this ongoing investigation, Coppola told NFL Media. Coppola emphasized that Collins is not being singled out and that this is standard procedure regarding an investigation of this nature.

Collins is not a suspect, and the police were trying to determine parental responsibility. The note said that Collins had not contacted Mills since September.

It seems some people fail to even realize that a mother is dead & that a child is currently parentless. The police also have a responsibility to try determine who this kid's father is. Seems like it could be several men.
