I agree. Get in front of the ball and block it. Our catchers are terrible at blocking balls.

Thank the MLB for this infectious method of 1 knee down with catchers now. Works in the MLB where pitchers can hit spots, doesn’t work in college. Limits mobility and they can’t move to block.
