I agree with this. I thought this was old news as I remember him trying to justify it this way already.

It's whatever. He can still transfer here next year if he likes. I don't care.I just don't think he needs to be justifying his decision any longer. It's pretty understood.

Her writing is rock-bottom bad, but she thinks she is a professional. Dismiss her work.

I had the same thought when I read that, I mean if that doesn’t just scream intelligence!!

Like someone said above. LSU is going to be better off w/o Underwood. Id put $$ on him being disgruntled early & often at UM. He will likely be a portal hopper or at least use it to get even more of that Barstool $$$

Damn, I had honestly forgotten about him. Hadn't thought about him since ESD and probably won't again until Michigan plays in a decent game next year that is televised.

Him deciding to bail was the best thing that could have happened to LSU. BK pulled his head out of his arse irt needing to get it done this year. Money was used to do much more roster building than 1 position. Underwood kinda seems like a head case with priorities in wrong spot. I would have loved to have him....but we will be fine and probably better off than had we kept him.

Totally agree. We were all disappointed when it went down, but it’s a good example for everyone that sometimes you can turn bad things into in a better overall situation. It lit a fire under everyone at LSU, and we ended up with a better overall roster due to it happening. Our 2025 team is in a much better position to compete for a championship than it would have been.

Lol. It’s just so dumb. UM and LSU academics didn’t all of a sudden change right when he was about to sign. He had plenty of time to make that decision. And to top that off, Psych or Sports Management aren’t majors that make or break school choice.

He wants to go to Michigan for academics.

If Michigan and LSU offered the same amount of NIL compensation I'd buy the explanation. But since Michigan offered double what LSU offered, to suggest that academic repuation was the reason for flipping just insults our intelligence. This kid is just trying to salvage his image with lies. He'd garner more respect by being honest about why he flipped and the questions would desist. As it is, he's an extremely talented football player with character issues in my book.

Michigan had to pay $5 million more to get Underwood to decommit from LSU, a school 1,500 miles away from him.. while he grew up 15 minutes from UM campus...

I would not give up all hope that he never comes here. He will for sure be there next year. However, if he puts up 56% completion rate, 1800 yards, 12 TDs and 12 INTs, and gets sacked multiple times. I could see him transferring out when he realizes he doesn't have OL or WR talent. As evidenced this year, playing QB at Michigan is hard to do. Their QB numbers were atrocious this year. McCarthy is only QB in last 20 years with decent stats. None of that talent is still around at UM. All of it is gone.

If he does transfer, I would very much expect LSU to be his leader considering the obvious he committed here, as well as Nuss will be gone, as well as LSU has incredible WR talent. Nick Collins will be here, TreyDez Green, I'm sure a few others.
