blowing a 9 point lead with 4 minutes to go and Fess Irvin and the missed free throws in 87 vs Indiana to go to back to back final fours

1981 Final Four. Losing to Indiana.
We had the best team in the country. 31-3 at that point including a 26 game winning streak and a 17-1 SEC record.
Rudy Macklin broke his finger in an earlier tournament game and it took much of our strength.

2006 - I'll go with a fumbled snap at the goal line versus Florida by JaMarcus and a PI/Jumping the pile penalty versus Auburn that prevented LSU from contending for a title with one of the most talented teams I've ever seen.

While I have to appreciate what Miles did at LSU during his tenure, I’m so glad to not have to see the worst game and clock management coach in the history of football anymore.

2008 Ole Miss - I called their fake field goal all the way from the EU. I apologize to anyone sitting near me during that game, especially if you had young kids in attendance.

2008 Arkansas - Rahim Alem giving Arky a 1st down by kicking an incomplete pass.

2010 Arkansas - Losing to the Pigs with a BCS berth on the line. Arky drove the length of the field for a TD with under a minute left in the 1st half because Chavis had already left the fricking press box

I also recall that game, but not the year. I thought LSU outplayed Bama all that game, except those last 5 minutes. The tipped pass that resulted in a td for Bama was a real disappointment.

Another disappointing game was a road loss to a Vanderbilt team that was less talented than LSU. In the last minute of the game, Todd Kinchen caught what looked like the game winning td pass, but a very questionable offensive pass interference call stole the game from the Tigers.

Bobby Knight slamming the phone down on the scorer’s table to (successfully) intimidate the refs

Spurrier running Up the score on our pathetic program (repeatedly)

Losing to UF with Chris Leake at QB

Losing to AhBarn in 2006 due to cheating SEC refs and Les running wide the whole game with the #1 NFL draft choice at QB.

It still infuriates me that we could only manage a FG with that talent on offense, blown calls or not.

Not running Jeremy Hill in the 4th quarter of the 2012 Peach Bowl to burn clock, followed by giving up a 4th and forever from Boyd, then loosing on a walk off FG.

Does this have to be limited to the last 15 years like all these other look backs?

HIGHLY Underrated moment. We watched a guy get away with whatever he wanted, and those pansy refs wouldn’t penalize him. In such a tight game, that would have probably been a difference, and LSU goes to the Final Four for the second year in a row to play for the National Championship in the Superdome.

ETA: I don’t want to hear about Fess Irvin. Bobby Knight should have been T’d up at the very least, possibly thrown from the game for what he did.

That goes to Auburn 2012 for me.

#2 team in the country, held to 12 points in a struggle fest game. Mett fumbled the ball away twice. Luckily Auburn was just as bad that day.

That was my first game in person at Auburn.
