What the frick are you talking about? I never said anything like this. The guy I responded to asked who is a better runner, Pavia or Sellers. I answered his question.

Vandy is a scrappy and dangerous team that should be taken seriously.

I agree.

Again, i'm not saying we should be looking past them just b/c they are Vandy, but they aren't UGA, or Bama, or Ole Piss. They are a middle of the road SEC team this year, capable of beating a good team if everything goes perfect for them, and also capable of losing to a crappy team. We are better than them, and we don't even have to play our best to beat them.
As someone else said, we get the same offensive production we did this past Saturday, minus the stupid turnovers in the endzone and Hilton's worthless arse dropping an easy deep ball, we'll win by 2 scores easily.

I think we are going to see a bit of an offensive breakout game, and we are going to win 34-17

If I went through game by game of our resume, it would be worse. This isn’t 2010 anymore, Vanderbilt has the capability to be good and better than us

Vandy has only been an SEC betting favorite TWICE since 2012. I think they were favored against Kentucky in like 2018. LSU is 5-1 and #10 in the country. What does that say about the legitimacy of LSU’s ranking?

Sure, if we play terrible and they play great, which is certainly a reasonable outcome this saturday.

They do not have the capability to be better than us if we play good. We don't even have to play great to beat them.

This

is not relevant to this

What may be relevant is the history of a 5-1 #10 team playing on the road against a 5-1 #18 team being a 1.5 dog to open the betting lines. I would imagine that's happened quite a bit. I also don't buy they've only been a favorite one other time. They won 9 games in b2b seasons under James Franklin in 2012-2013. I'd guess they were favorites at least once, probably more, in those two seasons.

They have a better coach and a better QB, we have better athletes everywhere else. However our OL, which is important to beat inferior teams stinks. So the objective take is this will be a shootout and usually the better qb wins those.

Sellers is more talented and athletic. Pavia has a better offensive line and makes better decisions.

I was more worried about Sellars because of his big play ability. I wasn't worried about losing the game, but just thought he could break one at any time. We shut that down.

I am not worried about Pavia. This will be the best defense, best linebackers, and best defensive backs he's faced this year. We win this game going away imo.

With this offense, we will be a dog to the rest of the schedule. We need to start putting up 30+ points to win the rest.

Vandy has a disciplined defense, a good QB that makes plays especially with his legs which is our only real weakness on defense, it's a road game, and Vandy is coming off of a bye week.

This will be a huge challenge for us if our offense can't improve.

Pavia is one of the most overhyped players in recent history. He’s a solid ball player, but he’s not some sort of generational player. He was pretty bad vs Alabama.

LSU should win by 10, however when it takes everything out of you to score 20 points, you typically can keep anyone in the game, last thing this team needs is a scrappy Vandy hanging around.

We finally showed signs of a run game against a defense that if anything is better than Ole Miss. Sure we made bad mistakes but being in position is step 1. Now we need to convert. OL play is ever so slightly improving and hopefully Nuss can be a little more confident. I think his problem is more mental or not trusting his WRs/OL.

Our bad defense last year did well so hopefully we're even better this year against them.

It certainly is relevant when you consider that this has only happened TWICE in the past (13) years.

I think our defense will contain Pavia. Do that and we win.

Pavia will not look good against this defense! They will be one dimensional!

The line is made by data, sos, and other stats(Df, Off., SpT, football stuff). In the end it is made completely off BETTORS perception. Home field value is 3to4 pts.
The main thing is people thinking like you and the other so called experts(people on somebody’s payroll).
In the END the LINE is made on which favors each side’s bettors. The whales(handicappers or veteran gamblers) don’t move the line.
It’s the Squirrels that move it the 20, 50, 100$ bettors that move it.
Vegas finds a happy medium for those that say Vandy ain’t the same Vandy, hell they beat Bama ly and almost beat LSU ah last year. They got LSU this year at Home with a Sht
offense - so the Vandy bettors will think that little ol’line of 2pts ain’t nothing. Vandy bettors load up.
Then there’s the LSU bettors who say I can’t believe the Vandy is favored, they ain’t all that, LSU should be favored. LSU will win outright. The line will have no impact on the game unless it hit 3.5. Vegas wants both sides to unload on their pick- that’s why there are skyscrapers on every corner. Squirrels built the city, they don’t hate anyone, they love the bettors and win either way. Take this anyway u like but this comes from a Former degenerate gambler that won 10 of thousands of $ and lost 100 of thousands of Dollars. There’s one thing I learned there’s only one winner Vegas they’re undefeated.

You're not entirely wrong...
But, LSU has the ability to play pretty terribly.

The motto for the remainder of the season needs to be, just win... ugly, or pretty just win.
Favored or underdog, just win...
Just find ways to block out all outside noise, and just win.
