Those 4 guys are the only ones shown on the 2026-27 basketball roster at LSUsports.net. That list hasn't changed for a month or more.

Wade has 13 guys that we know about. However, let's be real, Luis isn't playing CBB unless the SEC rule banning pros gets overturned at some point. Then Niang and Dessert are questionable because several international players with similar resumes have already been ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Below is a summary posted on the recruiting board. Some of the info is from Euro sources, b/c we aren't really getting anything out of the local press.
Currently Eligible (New '26-27 EM Projection)
1. Dioubate - 83
2. Ugochukwu - 822
3. Bashir - 1167
4. Bender - 2078
5. Nunez - 2913
Temporarily Eligible under TRO; Preliminary Injunction Hearing 9/29
6. Dent - 25
7. Clark - 152
Currently Ineligible under SEC rule
8. Luis JR - Not rated, as he is not expected to play CBB in '26-27
Currently Awaiting NCAA Clearance (Recent reports in Euro media indicate that none of the LSU players have been cleared, despite a number of other internationals getting recent NCAA decisions).
9. Niang - 145 - Cavs did not bring him on early. May be ineligible under new SEC rule. Recent Italian media reports that his buy-out has not been paid to his team, despite earlier reports that it had.
10. Ruzik - 226 - Profile closely aligns with other internationals that have recently been cleared by the NCAA.
11. Dessert - 274 - Anadolu Efes Istanbul lists him on their roster, but reports him as inactive in media updates. May be ineligible under new SEC rule.
12. Santos - 159 - Rumors that he is out.
13. Levy - 1328 - wouldn't be the worst player on the roster
Overall, LSU comes in at 19 in the '26-27 EM projections. However, if you remove Dent, Clark, Niang, Dessert, and Santos, then the projections drop them to 150.

In the optimistic case that we get 7 eligible, including Rucik, Dent and Clark, I think the games against McNeese and UCF will be close. If they are not eligible, we will get embarrassed.

Yes, shite players that’ll most likely make the team worse by being on the team. Anybody left in the portal at this point is obviously not the level of player that Wade wants. Definitely not SEC material anyway.
