can’t see too well, but that was mainly a position issue for thompson

He was never going to get the guy at first , but if he fields it cleanly I seriously doubt the runner scores

That is not reviewable. If the ball bounces before the bag, it is not reviewable.

Gosh damn. Do y’all think the kid isn’t trying? I get he’s made mistakes but frick. Chill out. That play really wasn’t his fault. Just unlucky. I assure you, no one wants him too make the plays as as bad as he does.

Shifted out of position. He's running away from home plate. Even fielded cleanly he didn't have much of a chance.

Yeah, it was a smart send by the 3B coach and good hard running by the player. He never even paused.

Would love to see us just go Hilliard, Dutton, and Taylor for the rotation.

I think this needs to happen, or if they really want Taylor backing up Dutton Sundays then try Floyd again on the weekend

Money needs weekday starts or just bullpen at this point, there's something not right with him. It's every weekend it seems like he's giving up a run an inning now

unimaginable that he is a shortstop

what's unfathomable is, according to CJJ, there are no better options at this time

Thompson was shifted behind 2B but he didn't field it clean.

You sir have lost your mind if you think that guy scores from 2nd if Thompson fields the ball cleanly.

Need to do something cause Money hasn't had a good outing in awhile.
Would love to know how many runs Thompson has cost money this year.

Thompson is absolutely terrible, it's unimaginable that he is a shortstop.
How do they score on that dribbler.

There’s a lot of reasons to complain about Thompson. That play is not one of them.

Cranford is the only other option but Thompson has a much higher ceiling and it's hard to give up on him.

And that probably scores Pearson from 2nd

God, I hate this “logic.” Everything changes if 1 thing changes. Almost zero % chance Doughty hits that ball there if Pearson had stayed. Pitch sequence would have definitely changed to Berry with a runner on 2nd and 1st base open. Could have walked him. Could have even been worse than just missing out on Pearson scoring on that. Cade could have hit a 3-run homer and brought Morgan up with 1 out and we’d still be hitting. Who knows. All we know is Crews had a bad AB by not hitting behind him, Pearson fricked up by taking off anyway, and it should have been Berry up with Pearson on 2nd and 1 out.

I do know we can’t keep spotting this dude runs every inning.

Ok. I thought maybe he would have had a shot at home with a clean pick up. But I think it would have been close. Looked like he had to eat dirt to get it. But hard for me to tell
