I don’t care if you are playing in the SWAC 8.7 yards per carry is absolutely ridiculous

Unless he gets a few more Pro Bowls and All Pros, he won't even get looked at for the HOF. Are you really saying he is better than the long list of light weight guys in the HOF? So defend your take or, as you say, GTFO.

He plays the ball, while all the others are playing each other. His skill set is extraordinary.

I was a student at the 2011 SECCG. Both punt returns went to the opposite endzone we were seating in. It was deafening to hear but was beautiful to watch the UGA side just motionless.

Yeah I'll take Joe Burrow

If he plays out his LSU career he sets a lot of all time records I think. As it is, I think he is top five all time for forced fumbles.

Can’t remember a db just taking over a game like he did. Sure there have been offensive players and some D- linemen that have done it, but it’s rare to see a fairly small stature DB just take over games from his position and Special Teams play. Only a few like Woodson and Reid come to mind, but never saw them do what TM did, and the flair he did it with… truly special.

Reggie Bush and it’s not even close.
you're probably to young to remember Barry Sanders at OSU in 1988
Reggie - 13 G 200 att. 1740 yds. 8.7 ypc 16 TD's , avg. 133.8 yds per game
Barry - 11 G 344 att. 2628 yds. 7.6 yps 37 TD's, avg. 239 yds. per game rushing

Barry's numbers were sick. If he had played in 2 more games (13 like Reggie) he would have run for over 3,100 and 43 TD's in a single season.
Barry carried the ball 31 times per game as he was their entire offense. Teams stacked the box because they knew who was getting the ball.
As far as an entire college career, IMO Marshall Faulk was more impressive than Reggie. Of Course #5 had a better single season than Marshall.

Since watching LSU football since 91 I can’t remember a player that had such an impact every game on defense like he did. Considering his size his low offers etc. He will go down as one of LSU goats. Just wish ok state didn’t choke against iowa state. He would have brought us another NC title. frick mulligan U

Don’t think it’s about comparing him to Joe. It’s just the fact that he was not an offensive player but still such a game changer. And not just with returns. Dude scored points from the defensive backfield. He changed field position with interceptions, sacks and hurries.
Joe was amazing but its just comparing apples to oranges. Right or wrong we’ve had certain expectations or at least hopes for every kid who started at QB for LSU over the years. Maybe we didn’t expect Joe to be Joe when he got here but we sure as hell hoped he would be. People neither expected nor hoped TM would become what he did because nobody knew a guy could do that.

his bowl numbers aren’t included in his season totals. (They didn’t start counting them in season stats until late 90s or early 2000s).
222 yards and 5 TDs in the bowl that year.

TM7 is smaller than Barry my baw. Especially when he was in college. Not to mention, he’s a defensive player (less “star” moments)

LSU beats Bama in 2012 in Tiger Stadium if TM is on the field.
