Sad for those guys. Disappointed. Not happy. Not a good reflection on how they were raised. Not a good reflection on the LSU football program. Hope they move on with their lives and get away from the LSU program.

So no current players have been rollin up in and out of that joint?
Seems a bit of a stretch, that no current players wouldn't be hangin at that pad. I'm waiting for the other shoe(s) to drop.
This is doing wonders for the prep for the Bama game. Take Bama and give the points. Free money.

I'm sure the players and coaches are lacking focus because some former teammates got busted.

Jefferson ain't even on the team and is still screwing us over.

SO you don't think this is a distracton to the team and coaches? These guys have all remained friends and I don't think for a second that there aren't some current Tigers who have been going in and out of the place.

I know right? The conclusions some posters are jumping to are kind of funny, to be honest.

No none of these players are on the team, no different than if any other friend of a player gets arrested for possession. And I'd be willing to bet the players all know someone who's been popped for possession.

You think this place is Frank Lucas' headquarters? It's 18 grams of weed. I'm sure plenty of players smoke weed on all teams in college football.

Sonuvabitch JJ is easily the most hated man in La sports history. Congrats, you bastard.

People keep acting like pot is the problem, it's not. It is not even close to alcohol as being the deadliest drug. The problem is that it's ILLEGAL. These guys have to abide by the law, whether it is a good law or not is not the issue. That being said, these kids are in college and MANY of them are smoking pot. Athletes of all sports, non-athletes, it doesn't matter, that is just the stage in life that they are in. I am not the least bit concerned if players are smoking pot in the off time, just as I don't care if they are getting drunk in their off time. As long as they show up to practice and games ready to play, I am good.

I would wager a lot of money that not one current player gets in trouble for this. it wasn't some big operation, just JJ being a dumbass by trying to get into the apartment.

Agree that it is not a good reflection, but unfortunately this has become the times we live in now with college football. This problem is not isolated to LSU. There is probably a group of pot smokers/drug users on every roster now. Coaches are paid millions to win, and these players helped us win alot of games. Coaches will continue to take risks on kids in an effort to win games. I don't condone it, but that is what it has become.

According to police news release: The man was confronted by a maintenance worker and words were exchanged. Before officers arrived, the man had been let into the complex by a resident and was seen going into an apartment.
I hope the maintenance worker told JJ he sucks at football.
