Sure, man. Only weed. But smoking weed was against the rules and he failed a shite load of tests.
He had a lot of chances. And he’s admitted himself that he messed up. You don’t see him saying he didn’t deserve the punishment he got. It was a wake up call for him and it likely helped him in the long run.
There are a lot of rules in life that either seem harsh or don’t make sense, or get changed a decade later. Life isn’t fair. Learning how to adjust to those things is part of being a mature, responsible adult.
Literally nobody dislikes the guy at this point and it’s pointless to say he should have never been booted out of school. Per the rules and laws that were in place in 2010, he damn sure earned his ticket out of LSU and winning the Heisman. Nobody did that to him, but himself. He realized that and he overcame the shite of it.
That’s the story. That’s the takeaway. Not, oh well weed is harmless and technically legal a decade later. Hence, LSU should have governed Tyrann’s usage of the substance based on Laws perhaps changing one day in the future.

You are so desperate to find a racist because it makes you feel good to tell yourself you are morally superior to someone else. It’s pretty fricking pathetic.
Just because someone criticizes Mathieu doesn’t mean it has anything to do with the color of his skin.
I’m happy for Tyrann. He was headed down the wrong path and was able to turn his life around by learning from adversity. At the time he was kicked off the team I would have felt the same way about him wether he was white or black. You have a weird obsession with race, you should get some help.

You do realize he is one of the most beloved tigers ever? Sure maybe people were upset at him when it first happened. But, people always have wanted him to succeed and have pulled for him…. He is one of us

Yep. I was pissed at first, but he won me over when he came to the games as a fan in the stands. He knew all the cameras would find him. That took some guts. And he didn’t blame anyone else for what happened to him. He took responsibility.
When I saw that, he had all my respect.

I've been all over, pal. Thanks for asking

I love Joe Burrow as much as anyone, but Tyrann is the face of the program.

Imagine letting something like this keep you up at night

Don't break the rules" groups are full of shite. How do I know that? Most of that type are also (still) Les Miles fans.

A lot of people on here have an unfounded belief that TM has turned into a highly respectable team leader and responsible adult. From what I’ve been told by a connected Cardinals fan, that is not the case. He says TM is well liked, but he has to be watched to keep him out of trouble.

This is what worries me about him coming back to New Orleans. The best thing for him was getting away.

Very weird hill to die on.

To say he’s not a respected team leader is simply false. Dude was certainly the leader of the chiefs defense the last few years.

People ragged him because he would have made a huge difference on that team. He screwed up! Happy for him and his success now

Teedy speaks Compton. Tyrann is much more just 7th Ward. They don’t really sound anything alike.

Yes, he screwed up, but he was punished (kicked off the team) by scumbag Les Miles. You don't see a problem with that?
And, I do have a problem with "fans" throwing Tyrann off the island but now suddenly "love him", and you should too.

Nobody has strong feelings about that or really Les anymore

Dude admits he was on the verge of spiraling out of control and that this is likely what it took to set him straight. I’m hardly a fan of Miles at all, but by all accounts Matthieu likely wouldn’t be who he is today if he had been coddled and had his issues swept under the rug at that point.

And Archie manning is the answer.

No, no one would have strong feelings about something or someone they were wrong about, lol.
As for Les Miles, we all should want him to stay far away from the program forever more.
