Notice no defense of McMahon (impossible at this point). It is all fierce defense of Woodward and how well the other sports are doing, etc.

Wade’s recruiting pitch at McNeese has been “come here, win and get better. When that happens and bigger schools want you and want to pay you more money…leave! I’ll help you pick a spot.”
He understands and embraces the mercenary era of college basketball now. I promise you, he’s not doing anything to his players he hasn’t told them to do if the opportunity arises. It hasn’t been a secret to anyone that he’s interviewed at least twice in the past week or so with NC State.
It’s a year to year deal now. Only the people who pay attention to basketball for one week in March and/or just want to take an illogical contrarian position for the sake of doing so don’t realize that.

Say what you want about Wade, but he had us actually competitive in men’s basketball. Something we haven’t been in over 20 years. With the support LSU gives men’s basketball, we would be lucky to sign another mid-tier coach.
