It's all about following Saban's example.

"We just shot ourselves in the foot"
"We didn't capitalize on opportunities"
Or something like that

Same tired old excuses.

He is talented, but he is also an impatient gunslinger. He wants to drive the ball downfield which generally works vs lesser talent, but certainly was exposed last evening. They were gouging CU in the run game in the 1st half, but instead of going PAP, they would look for a homerun. Bad play-calling and execution all night.

I hope we learned something vs him this season. We kept him bottled up early, and should have gone into halftime down only 9-0. D.A. needs to dissect what Venable did, and look to incorporate certain coverages/schemes where able to give Tua different looks and force him into bad throws.

It starts up front with getting pressure with 4, and maximizing your coverages. Now GEAUX get the eligible players to return, and finish the recruiting cycle with at least two DL/DEs.

No tua was running for his life, venables brought waves of pressure and it worked. Bama online shite the bed and tua looked lost.

Worse was Hurts, Saban must not like him. Nick put the guy in cold no prep and down 28.

Brent Venables is the real MVP. Confused Tua ALL night long. The Clemson D-Line did an amazing job in pressuring Tua, but Venables disguised coverage and blitzes amazingly well.

When Tua thought he had open receivers, he really didn't.

Tua Tagavaialoabugabolamu is a classless, arrogant asswipe.

His postgame comments were both delusional and funny. Lol.

Best part of the game was watching saban and the players complain about all FLAGS thrown on them Remember theses are not your SEC refs who look the other way.... Best Christmas present....was watching bama lose it was PRICELESS.......

It is interesting that in their 2 playoff games without SEC refs Bama was called for 15 penalties for 146 yards and their opponents were called for 8 penalties for 67 yards.

Where's the boys of Birmingham when you need them?

They missed the most obvious targeting call on Bama when 33 hit Lawrence crown to crown in 1st quarter.

I think he is told what receiver to throw to pre-snap or makes up his mind pre-snap.

I have been saying that he was throwing to spots and his receivers were just running to the ball and making him look superb. That is still not that easy to do but when a team put some pressure on him or covered his receivers then he looked pretty normal.

This is because the national media and SEC promote this garbage. Think of watching Bama play anyone on CBS. Verne and Gary wet themeselves all night talking about Saban and Bama. They've created this persona of a mythical figure.

But last night, they're goose was cooked. They don't know how to handle it. Love it!

It certainly helps when you have four future pros on your DL. They were able to generate pretty consistent pressure when they only brought four.

Agreed, 49 and 99 lived in the backfield all night. Although, it seemed like most times Venables brought pressure, he knew exactly what Bama going to do. The Trayvon Mullen sack where the WR went in motion and left that side empty was a good example.

He was awful in the news conference after the game..what a poor loser... He said clemson didn't do anything to beat us we beat ourselves ... I wish clemson would have put 50 on them at the end of the game...

Maybe he’s just trying to deflect from his bad performance to avoid going home and getting that belt whooping by his old man.
