I attended my first LSU game with my Dad on this date 52 years ago. LSU 21 Auburn 20.
My Dad got the tickets from a LaPlace State Trooper and we picked them up at his house, along with either his nephew or his son? who went with us. I think my Dad said his name was Tamborello or Tamburella. About 11 or 12 years old. First name might have been Joey? Wish I could remember.

That was my first game as well. What a game for the first one!

Can’t help you with the missing person but I was at that game and it was a great one. It was a rare day game in Tiger Stadium. We scored on the first play of the game on a halfback pass and blocked an extra point at the end to win.

Ole Joey T. He's been in Leavenworth for 34 years on RICO charges.

The father passed away in 2015. Obituary is below:

Best of luck tracking down his son, Joseph, who as of the date of the obituary lived in Metairie.

Could his first name be Danny? Is this him on the right?

Was that the game where we started out with a halfback pass for a TD?

Are you a Catholic Penn State fan?

There’s a Lynda Tamburello Stanga on Facebook. This is the same name as Joey’s father’s widow mentioned in the obituary. This appears to be her. If you are on Facebook, you can message her and ask for Joey’s number.

This board never ceases to amaze me…..you posted about a game that you attended 50 years ago and a few people were at that very same game!
ETA: additionally, several people gave the information about the kid you watched it with!
